Columbus Crew are a couple of hours away from facing Seattle Sounders in the 2020 MLS Cup Final. The Crew went from being favorites to becoming some sort of a disappointment to finally get things back on track and make it to the Final.

They finished the regular season with the third best-record in the league and that will allow them to host the last game of the season, although they won’t have the same advantage that they would have with their fans attending the game.

They had an easier path to the final than the Sounders, but that’s because of their good level and the good strategies of Sigi Schmid. They did a terrific job on their way to the final and want to top the campaign with a win over the defending MLS Cup champions.

Things didn’t start the best way for the Crew, as they took on the New York Red Bulls in the first round of the postseason. They suffered more than necessary but could get past the New Yorkers with a 3-2 final result.

In the Eastern Conference semifinals, they faced one of the surprises of the conference, Nashville SC. It was a hard-fought game but they could unlock things in extra time, getting a 2-0 win over the Music City.

New England Revolution, the biggest surprise of the tournament, waited for them in the ECF. Nashville one again fought and fought but they could unlock the game, winning thanks to a lone goal by Artur and making it to the final.
