Brazil is sitting pretty in Conmebol World Cup qualification for the World Cup in Qatar in 2022. The Brazilian side, who will be out nine players, due to covid restrictions in the United Kingdom will put their unbeaten run on the line against Chile in a big clash in Santiago.

Argentina, who are fresh off of their Copa America championship are a close second and will take on Venezuela in Caracas and will hope to continue to hold on to second place. Ecuador and Paraguay will clash in a match that can change the fortunes of one of the teams in this triple round of games in South American qualification.

Qualifying out of South America is never easy and the oddsmakers at DraftKings have put out their odds and picks as to who has the best chance to get something from matchday 9. We will review each match and provide our own option.

Bolivia - Colombia

Bolivia (+275) should be favorites against Colombia (+110) as the Bolivian team is extremely difficult to beat in La Paz due to the altitude. By their standards, Bolivia is having a much better qualification run than in previous cycles and a win could put them in a fight for qualification spots. In La Paz always bet on Bolivia.

Ecuador - Paraguay

Only two points separate Ecuador (-125) and Paraguay (+400) who come in as heavy underdogs for their match in Quito. Ecuador is a tough team on any surface and their home field advantage in Quito, which has altitude, has been very favorable for the Tricolors. Paraguay has a talented squad and has gotten results against Ecuador before, but this one looks like it will stay in the hands of the Ecuadorians who should win this one.

Venezuela - Argentina

Don’t expect the Vino Tinto to get anything from an Argentina (-200) team that is coming off of a high in winning the Copa America. Venezuela (+625) even at home have squandered a lot of points in this campaign and Lionel Messi’s Argentina is due to get these three points.

Peru - Uruguay

This is a make-or-break game for both Peru (+260) and Uruguay (+160), La Celeste have failed to impress this campaign, while Peru is near bottom. The loser of this game could be in a lot of hot water if they leave any more points behind. Uruguay has the talent to win this match, but a draw is not out of the question at +250.

Chile - Brazil

Chile (+310) have seen better days and while Brazil (-105) is undefeated, the fact that Brazil had to replace 9 players is an opportunity Chile cannot let miss and need three points from this match at home. Nonetheless a draw would be a wise option at +245 as Brazil won’t be in need for three points, sitting back and countering is Tite’s style.
