It’s another week of games in Major League Soccer with two key matches that could attract a good betting public, LAFC - NYCFC and Los Angeles Galaxy - San Jose Earthquakes. All four teams have a lot to think about as their seasons are underway and on different tracks.

The oddsmakers at DraftKings placed LAFC and L.A. Galaxy as favorites for their matches but don’t make it a given. LAFC have had an up and down start to the 2021 MLS season, while the Galaxy are coming off another key loss to the Portland Timbers.

In the case of the Galaxy, it will be the Cali Clásico with San Jose Earthquakes, in total both teams have 7 MLS Cups between them. For NYCFC they are coming off of a loss to MLS champs the Columbus Crew and will be looking to get back to their winning ways against LAFC. Here are the odds and betting options for these two clashes.

LAFC - NYCFC

LAFC are the odds-on favorite at -129 while NYCFC are paying out +325, a decent payout considering where each team is at in the table. No Eastern Conference team has ever won in Banc of California Stadium, giving LAFC a huge home field advantage.

Diego Rossi who is paying out +425 if he scores during the course of the game, Rossi has scored in the last eight home games for LAFC. While for NYCFC Argentine Valentin Castellanos is always a scoring option and is paying out +850.

Los Angeles Galaxy - San Jose Earthquakes

This will be the 85th game in which the Galaxy and the Quakes face off, where the Earthquakes have won six of the last ten meetings between the sides. While the Earthquakes are a +250 underdog, the Galaxy is paying out -103, the Quakes are going through a rough patch in which they have lost three in a row.

The Galaxy on the other hand have been up and down being able to beat many of the more accessible opponents yet have lost to the tougher ones. In this case the Earthquakes have been extremely inconsistent, and it would be wise to pick the Galaxy on this one.

Javier Hernández is the league's top scorer and a goal from him is paying out +380, and it would be a wise bet to pick him to score the first goal of the game.
