The whole world has waited for the UEFA Champions League and finally matchday 1 is here with a set of games that are eye candy for soccer fans. Here are our picks for these four key Champions League matches.

Liverpool - AC Milan

Liverpool (-195) is off to a flying start in the Premier League while AC Milan (+500) are also undefeated in three Serie A games. This is not as lopsided as the oddsmakers have it, AC Milan seems back with a young and eager squad they may surprise many in the Champions League. If you like upsets, and this game might give us one, pick AC Milan.

Manchester City - RB Leipzig

Jesse Marsch could shoot the scheduler if he could as things have been rough at the start of the Bundesliga season for RB Leipzig (+900), while Manchester City (-350) are huge candidates to win the whole thing. Don’t look for miracles in this match, it's Manchester City all the way.

Inter Milan - Real Madrid

For Inter Milan (+145) this game is about testing oneself at the highest level. At home and against Real Madrid, this will be a true test for Inter to prove if they have what it takes to go far in the Champions League. For Real Madrid it’s the main trophy the club will be after. Despite being away from home, look for Real Madrid (+180) to at least get a draw (+260).

Barcelona - Bayern Munich

The worst-case scenario for a Barcelona (+250) team that is in rebuild mode and could be in crisis mode if this game gets out of hand. Bayern Munich (-105) are simply a much better team than Barca, and with the Barcelona defense already showing flakes when tested look for Bayern to get three massive away points.
