2020 NL MVP Candidates: Favorites and Underdogs
Now that Mookie Betts took his talents to the other circuit, he's the biggest candidate to win the NL MVP award for the first time on his career. The Dodgers' superstar is bound to become a free agent so he'll need to demonstrate why he's worthy of a big buck. That's why FanDuel gives him +600 odds to win the award, while DraftKings gives him +550 odds.
Notably, Betts is followed closely by his teammate Cody Bellinger, the National League's reigning MVP. The Dodgers are loaded with talent and FanDuel gives Bellinger +800 odds to win the award, while DraftKing gives him +700 odds.
An unlikely candidate for oddsmakers is Puerto Rican infielder Javier Báez. The Cubs infielder has +2500 odds to win the award in FanDuel's platform, while DraftKings give him slightly better odds at +1800.
Surprisingly, oddsmakers aren't showing Joey Votto any love. Despite his talent and trajectory, the Canadian first baseman only has +12500 odds on DraftKing's platform, while FanDuel gives him +10000.
