LeBron James has sent two messages to his old and new teammates on social media. The Los Angeles Lakers have been very active this offseason, dealing and receiving players and draft picks. Los Angeles just won the 2020 NBA championship last month and they aren’t waiting for the rest of the teams to get better.

They started making moves last week when they agreed to trade Danny Green to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for Dennis Schroder. The Lakers aren’t planning to stop there and they are getting rid of players, too.

Besides parting ways with Green, the Lakers waived Quinn Cook today, ending his one-year tenure with the purple and gold. They lost two figures from last season; fans might or might not miss them, but one that showed his appreciation to them was LeBron James

LeBron James says goodbye to Danny Green, Quinn Cook

James knows this is business and the team needs to make all the moves they need to create a competitive team. Letting Green and Cook go was one of them, but the King made sure to show his appreciation to the guards.

Bron took to Twitter to salute Green and Cook, explaining that they wouldn’t have won the title if it wasn’t for the duo. Green was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder and now is part of the Philadelphia 76ers while Cook will try his luck in free agency.

LeBron welcomes Dennis Schroder to the Lakers

LeBron also took to Instagram to welcome Dennis Schroder to the team. The 27-year-old point guard is a very interesting player and LeBron wanted to play with him for a while now. Dennis joins LeBron and Anthony Davis, creating a form of Big 3 in Los Angeles.

Bron shared a story, praising Schroder and predicting what’s going to happen with the Lakers in the upcoming season.

“A flat out dog added to a pack of em,” James wrote in his story.

Schroder saw the post and actually replied, saying ‘let’s get it brodie’.

This is a great move for the Lakers and even though they’re missing Cook, Green and Avery Bradley, who has entered free agency, the Lakers are still a dangerous team. They have to make some moves now but the expectations around them will be the same or even higher after landing a big name like Schroder.
