The Ben Simmons wanting out of the Sixers saga just won’t let up, and after weeks of speculation if one of the highest paid players in the NBA will move to another team at the moment Simmons is staying put. With rumors of moves to Timberwolves, Raptors, Cavaliers, Pacers, Trailblazers and Spurs being just that rumors, Simmons may have vented his frustrations to the media.

According to a report from The Athletic's Sam Amick, Simmons has some issues with All-Star Joel Embiid. While in the report Simmons states that it’s “nothing personal" it would appear that the Sixers renegade star wants to play on a team where Embiid is not in the way.

It has been reported that Simmons does not want to return no matter what to Philadelphia this season and that this report is further proof that Ben Simmons is making himself out to be persona no grata in the Sixers locker room. Here are further details about Ben Simmons and his Joel Embiid rift.

Ben Simmons believes Joel Embiid is in his way in Philadelphia

Simmons has reportedly cut off all communication with the Sixers and his Sixers teammates, who wanted to talk to him to play the 2021-22 season with the squad. Simmons felt slighted by the team when they tried to trade him to Houston in exchange for James Harden, who eventually went to Brooklyn.

When it comes to Joel Embiid, Simmons with Embiid blocking the paints, feels that Embiid gets in the way of his game, and it would do him good to not have that hurdle in his way. Simmons is on a long-term contract with Philadelphia and is reportedly not willing to turn up to training camp in order to force a trade.
