Ever since he made it to the NBA, Ben Simmons has been one of the most polarizing players in the league. He's an elite playmaker, rebounder, and defender; but some people feel like he should be more of a scorer.

Simmons dominates almost every aspect of the game. Obviously, he's not likely to ever become a legit threat as a shooter but he's so good at everything else that it just doesn't matter at this point.

Then again, some people feel like he should have taken a step forward by now and that he's overrated, including Washington Wizards broadcaster, Justin Kutcher; who recently said that he's just too hyped.

Washington Wizards Broadcaster Calls Ben Simmons The Most Overrated Player In The NBS

“I’ve said it before and I know I’ll take flack for it. (...) I think Ben Simmons is one of, if not the most, overrated players in the NBA. He’s gotten so much love and attention that people are not paying attention to what Tobias Harris is actually doing on the floor," he said during the Wizards vs. Sixers matchup.

Needless to say, his comments fueled a big debate on social media, with a lot of people calling him out and letting him know that Simmons was far from an overrated player. Even so, he took to Twitter to double down on his take:

“Yep, I said that Ben Simmons is one of the most overrated players in the NBA, and I stand by it. I didn’t say he was BAD, just not as good as everyone makes him out to be. GREAT defender, potential DPOY, but I think he’s made All League/All Star Teams based on hype. And..goodnight,” he tweeted.

Ben Simmons Hilariously Clap Back At The Wizards' Commentator

But when asked about it, Ben Simmons was pretty much unfazed by his comments, and fired back at him with a hilarious response and a savage post on Instagram Stories, mocking him and calling him 'another casual':

“He’s like a 5’5 commentator for the Wizards, I can’t give it too much attention,” Simmons said.

Clearly, the Australian star isn't worried about what a broadcaster has to say about it. At the end of the day, he's one of the leading candidates for Defensive Player of the Year, and has already proven that he's one of the best playmakers in the world.
