The news about LeBron James continues to arrive before the game against the San Antonio Spurs on the road. The Lakers have a negative record with two losses and a single win, the only game they have won so far was a couple of days ago against Memphis Grizzlies 121-118. But during that victory LeBron suffered a collision with a rival player after scoring. Officially LeBron James does not have an ankle sprain injury but is listed as questionable according to the latest NBA injury report released at 2:30 PM (ET).

That right ankle was the one that LeBron James injured last season, that injury made James unable to play 27 games of the 2020-21 season, the Lakers suffered without him, they could barely reach the playoffs to be eliminated at the Western Conference First Round 2-4 against the Suns.

During the Lakers' first win against the Grizzlies in the 2021-22 NBA season, James scored 19 points, 6 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks, 4-for-9 threes in 40 minutes and 18 seconds of play on the court. The Los Angeles Lakers won three of four quarters during that game.

LeBron James Injury Report: Listed as questionable against the Spurs due to right ankle soreness.

After the collision against the Memphis Grizzlies player, LeBron James left the court for a couple of minutes and then returned and continued playing. He was the player who played the most minutes throughout the game. If LeBron could finish the game against the Grizzlies it is likely that he will be available to play against the Spurs.

The Lakers need LeBron James since he and Anthony Davis are the only players averaging more than 20 points per game. But during the victory against the Grizzlies the most outstanding player for the Lakers was Carmelo Anthony with 28 points and 3 rebounds, 6-for-8 threes and 66.7% FG.

After this game against the Spurs, the team travels to Oklahoma to play against the Thunder, and the Los Angeles Lakers return home on October 29 to play four consecutive games against the Cavaliers, Rockets twice and the Thunder.
