Joe Biden won the 270 electoral votes to win the 2020 Presidential election over Donald Trump. The final total stands at 306 electoral votes to 232. Biden won Georgia, while Trump won North Carolina almost a week and a half later removed from election night.
It has been a long road to the elections when considering the COVID-19 pandemic and the Black Lives Matters protests that engulfed the country in July. Various sports figures have come out in favor of both candidates during the lead up to election night.

Donald Trump won the following states: North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Indiana, West Virginia, Kansas, Idaho, Missouri, Utah, Ohio, Florida, Texas, Montana, Iowa, and North Carolina.
Joe Biden won the following states: Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Washington D.C, New Mexico, Illinois, Virginia, New York, Colorado, Washington, Oregon, New Hampshire, California, Arizona, Hawaii, Maine, Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Georgia.
Joe Biden has won the state of New York
At the moment AP and CNN have projected the state of New York and its 29 electoral votes will go to Joe Biden. With 78% of the vote counted Biden is leading 55.7% of the vote to Trump's 43%.
Joe Biden wins the state of California
At the moment AP and CNN have projected the state of California and its 55 electoral votes will go to Joe Biden. With 66% of the vote counted Biden is leading 65.3% of the vote to Trump's 32.9%.
Donald Trump wins the state of Florida
AP confirmed the state of Florida and its 29 electoral votes will go to Donald Trump. With 99% of the vote counted Trump leads 51.2% of the vote to Biden's 47.8%.
Donald Trump wins the state of Ohio
Donald Trump wins the state of Texas
AP confirmed that the state of Texas and its 38 electoral votes will go to Donald Trump. With 85% of the vote counted Trump leads 52.2% of the vote to Biden's 46.4%.
Joe Biden wins the state of Illinois
AP confirmed that the state of Illinois and its 20 electoral votes will go to Joe Biden. With 88% of the vote counted Biden leads 55.1% of the vote to Biden's 43%.
