The 30th season of Dancing With the Stars premiered last Monday welcoming back head judge Len Goodman and a live studio audience. The new cast was well received by fans and some partners are already favorites to win the show. 

The new cast, that includes actors, social media and sports stars, brought their best game to the ballroom floor. Judges, who also are Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough, were impressed by the great work that the stars put into their first performance and how they exceeded their expectations. 

Also, the premiere had some surprises like Jojo Siwa making history alongside her partner pro dancer Jenna Johnson by being the first same sex couple to compete in the show. They also ended the night at the top of the leaderboard with 29 points. 

Dancing With the Stars: When is the first elimination? 

The first elimination of Dancing With the Stars will be this Monday, September 27. The vote will be counted alongside the judges’ scores to determine the first elimination of the season at the end of the second episode. All of the scores and votes from both nights will be tallied up together to determine the bottom two. Here are the current standings:

For next weeks, the couples will dance a "Britney night" on October 4, and then there will be a two-night Disney Special with the "Heroes night" (Oct. 11) and the "Villains night" (Oct. 12). This season certainly promises a lot of fun!
