One of the most beloved characters in the Star Wars universe is getting his own series, Boba Fett, the feared bounty hunter made famous in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. Temuera Morrison will reprise the role along with Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand. The series is set to begin streaming on December 29th on Disney+ and is sure to be a smash hit.

The Book of Boba Fett is just one of many Star Wars projects slated to be released on Disney+, one of the most highly anticipated series is the spin off show of Ahsoka Tano and the Obi-Wan Kenobi series which will have Rosario Dawson and Ewan McGregor in the lead roles, with Hayden Christensen reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker in both series.

Until then The Book of Boba Fett takes center stage as the bounty hunter returns to Tatooine in what appears to be a power play to take over Jabba the Hutt’s operations and spread fear and crime across the Star Wars universe.

What we know about The Book of Boba Fett

At the moment the series takes place right after the post credit scene of The Mandalorian at the end of that second season. Jabba the Hutt’s criminal empire was being run by Bib Fortuna, who met his end at the hands of Fett.

The series will center around how Fett takes control of the galaxy’s underworld and plans to run the criminal empire beyond the planet of Tatooine. The show is pure eye candy for Star Wars fans who longed for Boba Fett to have his own spin off, and now they finally have it. Unlike their cinematic spin offs, the Star Wars series on Disney+ have been met with high viewership and critical acclaim.
