According to the Times Union, Brown owes nearly $3 million to eight different creditors. As a result, he has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, a “reorganization” plan allowing him to propose a method to pay his creditors without going out of business.

“I mean, I’m f—-d up, you know what I’m saying?” Brown said on The Pivot Podcast. “I just can’t comply with debt. You know, it’s all about protecting yourself. But yeah, you know … I’m not broke, but I’m fractured. … I’m just reallocating the debt to take care of the debtors. That’s all I’m doing.”

Brown played his last NFL season in 2021. He briefly joined the AFL’s Albany Empire, a team he co-owned, but the team was expelled from the league three months later due to accumulating debts.

“You know, anybody can sue you, take you for whatever you got,” Brown said. “You know, at this point, I don’t work, I don’t make millions of dollars where it’s coming in where I could just (pay off) some of that money. So, you know, Chapter 11 is about restructuring the money you’re making so you can take care of the debt.”

Is Antonio Brown banned from the NFL?

As mentioned earlier, Antonio Brown last appeared in the NFL in 2021, playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The wideout was released following a dispute with former coach Bruce Arians and several of his teammates.

The problem was that Brown didn’t get the number of passes he expected from Tom Brady. “During the game (Jets), I’m hurting myself more. They’re not trying to put me in a good position. You don’t want to throw me the ball and you making me like I’m crazy, so, I was like, I’m crazy, I’m out of here.”

So, Antonio Brown left the field and then had a big altercation with head coach Bruce Arians. That incident cost him any future chance of playing in the NFL. In the podcast, the former wide receiver even claimed that Tom Brady thinks he is a narcissist.

“After exhausting all avenues, the NAL board of owners have decided unanimously to terminate the membership agreement of the Albany Empire,” the league wrote in a statement. “The decision was reached after an emergency conference call of the members in good standing to discuss the Empire’s failure to pay their league mandated and overdue assessments.”

According to the league’s rules, all seven teams are responsible for paying one-seventh of their operating budget. Brown felt behind by two payments, and he also refused to pay a $1,000 fine the NAL gave to him for some comments he made about the organization.

“After acquiring the Albany Empire, new team owner Antonio Brown paid the Empire’s April assessment,” the league said. “The team then failed to make their May 15th assessment payment and last week just before the Empire’s game in Orlando, the league was notified that the April assessment was being challenged.“

According toFOX 13 reporter Aaron Mesmer, police arrived this December 1st to Antonio Brown’s house at South Tampa to serve an arrest warrant for domestic violenceinvolving his ex-fiancée.

The reports say that Antonio Brown refused to receive this arrest warrant even though it was clear that he was home. Police left in a very bizarre move as it is mandatory for them to stay until he receives it if they can prove he was home.

“It’s not uncommon for police to leave after trying to issue a warrant if they don’t want to escalate things, can’t physically see him in the home or are negotiating a surrender behind the scenes,” said a legal expert to FOX 13.

According to Tampa Bay police, the arrest warrant was issued to the 34-year-old after a discussion that turned physical on Monday. His ex-fiancée claims Antonio brown threw a shoe at her.

“The suspect exited the residence and threw a shoe at the victim striking her in the ponytail,” the Tampa police report stated. “The victim had no injuries but believed the shoe was meant for her head. The suspect would not open the door or come outside to speak with officers. The suspect also during this incident attempted to issue an informal eviction to the victim.”

After Antonio Brown didn’t open the door to the police, officers reported that they tried to reach him “multiple times”, but the 34-year-old gave no answer to them.

Tom Brady is know for being a verycalmedperson and he is not a problematic player. Throughout his whole career he has had tons of teammates and almost everyone talks great things about the quarterback, except for Antonio Brown.
