Brandon Beane is still upset about not being able to reach the Super Bowl with Bills

Brandon Beane, the general manager of the Buffalo Bills, still has the lingering frustration of not having been able to reach a Super Bowl with his team.
Since his arrival in Orchard Park in 2017, Brandon Beane has led his team to the playoffs in 8 of his 9 seasons as general manager. However, the frustration of not having reached a Super Bowl still remains, and he is determined to end that drought as soon as possible with the Buffalo Bills.

“Listen, no one’s more angry that we haven’t got it done at myself than me,” Beane said in a recent interview with Tyler Dunne of GoLongTD.com. “And I’ll always be that way. I don’t need outside motivation. I don’t need that. If we go in there right now and we play ping-pong, I’m going to try and whip your (expletive). And if you beat me, I’m going to try and figure out what you did and how you beat me.

“And I’m going to tell you to get your (expletive) back over here soon and we’re going to come back at it until I can beat you. And so as long as Terry Pegula and the Pegula family allows me to do this job, that’s what it’s going to be.”

Beane, who was recently given an expanded role in January 2026 by being named President of Football Operations as well, has helped turn the Buffalo Bills into a consistent contender in the AFC East in recent years. The big question remains: can this be the year they finally break through and reach their first long-awaited Super Bowl?

Josh Allen #17 of the Buffalo Bills.

The Beane era as GM

Since Brandon Beane took the helm back in 2017, the Buffalo Bills have undergone a remarkable transformation into a perennial powerhouse. Under his leadership, the team secured four consecutive AFC East titles from 2020 to 2023 and reached the AFC Championship Game in the 2020 season.

His tenure has been defined by consistent postseason appearances and a top-tier winning percentage, solidifying Buffalo as one of the most elite and stable organizations in the NFL.

Season, Record (W-L)

AFC East Finish

Playoff Result

2017, 9–7

2nd

Wild Card Round (L vs. Jaguars)

2018, 6–10

3rd

Missed Playoffs

2019, 10–6

2nd

Wild Card Round (L vs. Texans)

2020, 13–3

1st

AFC Championship Game (L vs. Chiefs)

2021, 11–6

1st

Divisional Round (L vs. Chiefs)

2022, 13–3

1st

Divisional Round (L vs. Bengals)

2023, 11–6

1st

Divisional Round (L vs. Chiefs)

2024, 13-4

1st

AFC Championship Game (L vs. Chiefs)

2025, 12–5

2nd

Divisional Round (L vs. Broncos)

Airs of change in the Bills

Following the conclusion of the 2025 season, the Buffalo Bills made a bold change at the helm by parting ways with Sean McDermott after nine seasons and promoting offensive coordinator Joe Brady to head coach in January 2026. This transition marks a significant shift in the organization’s philosophy, moving toward a more offensive-minded “CEO-style” leadership focused on maximizing Josh Allen‘s prime years.

In this way, the Bills have entered a new era characterized by a fresh vision and a modernized coaching staff, aiming to finally overcome their postseason hurdles and secure a Super Bowl title.

The Buffalo Bills are betting on Keon Coleman to be one of the team’s standout players in the upcoming 2026 NFL season.
Keon Coleman’s name came up in several places during discussions about a potential trade, especially with the 2026 NFL Draft recently taking place. Even so, Brandon Beane made it clear that while there were calls, the intention is for the player to have a big year with the Buffalo Bills.

“We had some people connect with us in Indy, at least one team there, and a couple between there and the owners meetings. But we shut those down,” Beane said Monday during an appearance on WGR-550, via ESPN.

He also added: “Our intention is for Keon to be here, and so I think the word was kind of out. So, no calls this weekend… We’ve hit the reset button with him, and hopefully the fan base and everyone’s behind him. I think his best year is yet to come here in 2026.“

The trust of Brady in Keon Coleman

With the dawn of the Joe Brady era in Buffalo, Keon Coleman has found a vital ally in his quest for redemption following the departure of Sean McDermott. Despite the outside noise and a disappointing sophomore slump, Brady has publicly reinforced his commitment to the young receiver, stating that his promotion to head coach is the best possible outcome for Coleman’s development.

Keon Coleman #0 of the Buffalo Bills.

The receiver will look in this new stage to improve his last season: 38 receptions, 404 yards, and just 4 touchdowns. In addition, it will be crucial for him to improve his discipline so that the Bills‘ offense can function to perfection.

What is the contract situation of Coleman?

Keon Coleman enters the 2026 season in the third year of his four-year, $10.07 million rookie contract, which includes approximately $9.64 million in total guarantees. The WR remains a cost-effective asset for Buffalo, carrying a modest $2.75 million cap hit for the upcoming season, but he is widely considered to be on a “prove-it” trajectory to secure his long-term future with the franchise.

The Buffalo Bills will head into the upcoming 2026 NFL season once again with Josh Allen as the team’s main star.
Josh Allen is eagerly awaiting the 2026 NFL season, one in which he hopes to finally reach the top. Now fully recovered from his foot injury, the arrival of his newborn child with his partner has given the Buffalo Bills quarterback new motivation as he prepares to face the year with a different mindset.

“I think it definitely changes the mindset a little bit. I am very excited,” Allen said, via the team’s website. “I do think this is going to be the best version of myself in all aspects in my professional career and my personal life.

“That ‘want to win’ will never change. The ‘why I want to do it’ has. So why I want to do it and to show my family, to show my daughter how hard you need to work in order to accomplish something so great. And as long as I play this game, that’s going to be my mindset.”

Allen wants to remove a big thorn from his side

Josh Allen enters the 2026 season with the singular goal of reaching his first Super Bowl, following another dominant but ultimately heartbreaking campaign. In 2025, Allen maintained his status as an elite “touchdown machine,” recording 3,668 passing yards with 25 touchdowns through the air, while remaining a lethal threat on the ground with 14 rushing scores.

Josh Allen #17 of the Buffalo Bills.

Despite leading the Buffalo Bills to a 12–5 record and a Wild Card victory over the Jaguars, their postseason run ended in the Divisional Round with a devastating 33–30 overtime loss to the Denver Broncos. With a career total of 29 playoff passing touchdowns and high efficiency, Allen’s primary challenge remains overcoming these late-game hurdles to finally secure a spot on the NFL’s biggest stage.

Buffalo has its star back from injury

Shortly before the end of last season, Allen suffered a foot injury that forced him to play at less than full strength. Now recovered, the quarterback has progressed through his rehabilitation and is participating in OTAs without restrictions.

“It feels really good right now. I don’t feel like I have any limitations,” he said. “A little piece of bone just kind of broke off and was floating there so they just went in, took it out, kind of like a small rock. They literally just cut it out, left it on the table and sewed it back up, and scar tissue will form around it.”

The Cleveland Browns and the New York Giants have more competition for KC Concepcion, as the Buffalo Bills are hosting him to a visit.
KC Concepcion is one of the best names in the wide receiver department ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft. The New York Giants and the Cleveland Browns are interested in him, but now, the Buffalo Bills are entering the wideout sweepstakes.

It was reported that the Browns joined the Giants in the Concepcion sweepstakes. Now, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported that Concepcion is visiting the Bills, who are in desperate need to fill the roster with weapons for Josh Allen.

The Bills have previously been intrigued by Concepcion, but then the rumors watered down after trading for DJ Moore. However, it seems the interested has reignited. Concepcion would be a great fit for the Bills.

KC Concepcion’s fit with the Bills

To the dismay of the Browns and the Giants, Concepcion is a great fit to be Josh Allen’s teammate. The reason? Concepcion is a dynamic playmaker and a yards-after-catch machine. He is also a versatile wideout that can line up in the slot or elsewhere.

I have KC Concepcion ranked ahead of Makai Lemon.

Concepcion also knows how to create separation, something Josh Allen would definitely welcome, as he needs weapons that can provide him wide looks. Being open goes a long way. Plus, he is from Rochester, New York, which is just 60 miles away from Buffalo.

Concepcion’s draft projection competes with plenty of others

KC Concepcion is projected to go in the late-first-to-early-second round of the 2026 NFL Draft. This puts him in competition with other great wideouts like Jordyn Tyson, Denzel Boston, and Omar Cooper Jr. Teams have plenty of ways to go. They are all below Carnell Tate and Makai Lemon.

https://bolavip.com/en/nfl/ny-giants-dexter-lawrence-trade-rumors-bills-bears-have-advantage-over-packers-jaguars

The New York Giants are drawing much interest after Dexter Lawrence asked for a trade, and it seems the Buffalo Bills and Chicago Bears could lead the charge to acquire him.
Dexter Lawrence has requested a trade out of the New York Giants, and it changes everything heading to the 2026 NFL Draft. Now, the ball is in New York’s court to entertain trade offers for the star nose tackle. According to a report from Easton Butler, teams such as the Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Green Bay Packers have already knocked on Joe Schoen’s door.

While not compelled to trade Lawrence, New York may find it best to move on from its star defensive lineman rather than drag out the drama and risk tension inside the locker room. If that’s the case, a report indicates the Giants have established their asking price for Lawrence to the rest of the NFL. As a result, the Bills and Bears may have a significant advantage over the Packers and Jaguars.

The Giants are reportedly asking for a late first-round or second-round 2026 selection in return for Lawrence. Chicago and Buffalo both have late first-round picks (25th and 26th overall picks, respectively) for the upcoming NFL Draft, whereas Green Bay and Jacksonville have both traded their first-rounders (20th and 24th overall, respectively).

The Packers and Jags could always make a trade to get back into the first round of the draft, but the odds of them making a move for a first-rounder only to send it to the Giants are slim. Thus, the Bills and Bears could be in pole position to make a trade for Lawrence happen. Both teams could really use a powerful nose tackle, and “Sexy Dexy” may be the best option out there, even as he comes off a down year in East Rutherford.

Dexter Lawrence makes his signature “Sexy Dexy” dance

If it comes down to a second-round pick

In case the Giants settle for a second-round pick in a move involving Lawrence II, then the Bills could be in trouble. Buffalo traded its second-rounder (60th overall) to none other than Chicago, that has two picks in the second round (57th and 60th overall).

As for the Jaguars and Packers, they could tilt the scale in their favor thanks to their second-rounders. Still, it seems Jacksonville (56th) and Green Bay (52nd) would have to give up something more to come away with Lawrence. Especially if Chicago is in the mix, and is serious about bolstering its defense that recorded just 35 sacks last season—tied for fifth-least in the NFL.

Lawrence’s stats in 2025

Coming off a career year in 2024, Lawrence seemed to be missing a gear in the 2025 NFL season. He followed his career-high 9-sack campaign in 2024 with a measly 0.5 sacks the following year. Considering Lawrence missed five games in 2024 and didn’t miss a single outing in 2025, his low production definitely raised concerns in New York.

Now, he is looking for a fresh start elsewhere. Lawrence isn’t interested in seeing what John Harbaugh can make happen in the Big Apple. Whether the feeling is reciprocal or not remains to be seen. One thing is clear, though: the Giants won’t give Lawrence away. If New York trades him, it won’t be for peanuts.

The Buffalo Bills have named Joe Brady the team's new head coach, but he admits he isn't entirely comfortable with Josh Allen shifting to calling him "coach."
A new era has begun for the Buffalo Bills. While Joe Brady has officially taken over as head coach, he has admitted to some unease regarding how the new hierarchy has altered his relationship with Josh Allen.

Earlier this year, the Bills decided to part ways with Sean McDermott following a disappointing Divisional Round exit. After an extensive search, the organization determined the best candidate was already in-house, elevating Brady from offensive coordinator to head coach on January 27.

While Brady is thrilled to lead the franchise, the transition has been somewhat surreal. He recently revealed that Josh Allen has shifted to calling him “Coach” instead of “Joe”—a formal change that Brady admits feels “bizarre” and is taking some time to get used to.

“Honestly, the hardest thing is — it’s driving me crazy — him calling me ‘coach,’” head coach Joe Brady said, via Jay Skurski of the Buffalo News. “I hate that.”

A massive opportunity for Joe Brady

The Bills remain perennial Super Bowl contenders, and with Brady at the helm, the team is expected to adopt an even more aggressive, offensive-minded philosophy. Brady’s familiarity with the roster is a significant advantage, and the team’s recent offseason additions—most notably DJ Moore—are expected to further elevate the unit.

Crucially, the relationship between Brady and Allen remains the foundation of the team’s success. The two have been “attached at the hip” since 2022, and maintaining that strong bond will be vital as they navigate the pressure of a “championship or bust” 2026 season.

As of today, expectations are sky-high in Western New York. If the Bills fail to reach the Super Bowl this year, the “bust” narrative will likely return to haunt Buffalo, intensifying the pressure on both the new head coach and his star quarterback.

The Buffalo Bills acquired DJ Moore to serve as their new WR1, but his arrival will not diminish Keon Coleman’s role in the offense, according to head coach Joe Brady.
The Buffalo Bills have provided Josh Allen with significant help by acquiring DJ Moore. However, many are questioning how his arrival impacts Keon Coleman, who was previously poised to become the team’s undisputed WR1.

Josh Allen has a premier new weapon at his disposal for the 2026 NFL season. By trading for DJ Moore, the Bills have secured a top-tier wide receiver who is expected to significantly elevate the team’s offensive ceiling.

Naturally, Moore’s arrival raises questions regarding Keon Coleman’s target share. Nevertheless, head coach Joe Brady believes Coleman’s performance will not suffer, despite the young wideout now being technically regarded as the WR2 on the depth chart.

“The thing with Keon is from a football standpoint, man, his work ethic, his approach, how he’s going through it, if Keon just takes care of himself off the field and he just shows up, he’s going to be good to go,” Brady said this week, via Sal Maiorana of the Democrat & Chronicle. “Keon is on our football team. I’ve never said anything negative. I was the first to tell everybody I want Keon Coleman. Keon’s not going to just be pushed aside.”

DJ Moore is more than just a wide receiver for the Bills

During a recent interview at the NFL Annual League Meeting in Phoenix, Joe Brady revealed that the Bills’ entire receiving corps will benefit from Moore’s presence.

As an elite route-runner, Moore will draw heavy attention from opposing secondaries, creating defensive gravity that opens up underneath routes and one-on-one matchups for his teammates.

The former Chicago Bears star was a remarkably consistent target for Caleb Williams. However, the Bears sought to officially elevate Rome Odunze to the WR1 role, ultimately deciding that the best path forward was to move Moore in a high-profile trade.

With Moore now established as the WR1, Allen leads an offense overflowing with talented pass catchers. Expectations are sky-high for a Buffalo team that, despite Allen’s individual brilliance, has struggled to reach the ultimate goal of a Super Bowl championship.

The Buffalo Bills head into the 2026 NFL Draft with key roster decisions looming, as draft-day strategy and potential trade moves could quietly reshape their path in a crucial AFC race heading into April.
The Buffalo Bills enter the 2026 NFL Draft with a total of 7 selections, positioning themselves with a balanced mix of early-round capital and mid-to-late round depth as they prepare for a crucial roster-building weekend.

The popular franchise heads into the 2026 NFL Draft with expectations high after another competitive season and every pick could play a key role in strengthening a roster built around championship contention.

From potential immediate starters to developmental upside players, their draft board reflects both urgency and long-term planning. In the AFC landscape, every decision in this draft could have a lasting impact on their Super Bowl pursuit.

Which picks do the Bills have in the 2026 NFL Draft?

The Buffalo Bills hold seven selections in the 2026 NFL Draft, including one pick in Round 1 (No. 26 overall) and additional picks across Rounds 3 through 7, giving them a balanced but not overly aggressive draft capital pool.

Khalil Shakir #10 of the Buffalo Bills runs with the ball for 46 yard in 2026 (Source: Justin Edmonds/Getty Images)

According to the latest draft order tracking from league data and team-level projections, their selections are spread across all three days, with a focus on maintaining flexibility rather than stacking early-round picks.

The current projected structure of the Bills’ 2026 draft class is:

Round 1: Pick 26

Round 3: Pick 91

Round 4: Pick 126

Round 5: Pick 165 (from Chicago Bears)

Round 5: Pick 168

Round 6: Pick 182 (from Cleveland Browns/Las Vegas Raiders)

Round 7: Pick 220 (from New York Jets)

Did the Bills gain or lose picks through trades?

The Bills have not dramatically increased their total draft capital for 2026, but they have reshuffled several selections through prior trades, particularly involving Day 3 picks and earlier roster moves.

Most notably, Buffalo has exchanged late-round picks in previous transactions involving roster depth moves and player acquisitions, which has resulted in a slight reshuffling rather than a net gain or loss in total selections.

This includes swapping late-round selections with teams like the New York Jets and Dallas Cowboys in past deal cycles, which has influenced where their final seventh-round picks landed.

Deone Walker #96 of the Buffalo Bills celebrates with teammates in 2026 (Source: Justin Edmonds/Getty Images)

However, unlike some NFL teams that aggressively stockpile future picks, they have generally maintained a stable draft volume (around seven picks) while using trades more for roster flexibility than accumulation.

Which positions could the Bills target in the 2026 draft?

The Buffalo Bills are expected to prioritize defensive front-seven talent in the 2026 NFL Draft, with edge rusher, linebacker and defensive line standing out as their clearest needs entering April.

Recent roster construction trends and offseason projections suggest they are continuing to reinforce their defense under a system that values pressure generation and athletic versatility.

Analysts highlight that they have already addressed several offensive needs through trades and free agency, which shifts attention toward strengthening a defense that remains critical in AFC playoff matchups.

Edge rusher, in particular, is viewed as the most likely first-round target due to both long-term roster planning and depth concerns at the position. Beyond the defensive front, wide receiver and interior offensive line depth remain secondary but important considerations.

While the offense still revolves around quarterback Josh Allen, adding young, cost-controlled talent at receiver and guard could help balance long-term roster construction and maintain offensive consistency.

DJ Moore has just joined the Buffalo Bills, and expectations are already high. Head coach Joe Brady believes both Josh Allen and the rest of the receiving corps will benefit significantly from his arrival.
The Buffalo Bills have provided Josh Allen with a legitimate WR1 in DJ Moore. Now, head coach Joe Brady has revealed why this signing is so significant—and it isn’t strictly because of the wide receiver’s talent.

On March 11, the Bills fulfilled Josh Allen’s wish by securing a new WR1. The club acquired DJ Moore via trade from the Chicago Bears, a move that has led fans to believe the quarterback finally has a truly formidable receiving corps.

Joe Brady, who recently took over as head coach, shares this sentiment. He has praised Moore’s skillset and believes his presence will draw enough defensive attention to help the other pass catchers shine.

“Having a guy like DJ it’s going to help both of them,” Brady said about wide receiver Khalil Shakir and tight end Dalton Kincaid, via the team’s website. “[Defenses] can’t just focus on one particular person. It gives us another layer of somebody on the outside. Khalil and Dalton have attacked a lot of the middle of the field, a lot of the inside zones . . . It was important to get a skill set like DJ, a guy that can stretch it, can win one-on-one, can get the ball in his hands, and he can win on a slant.”

The Bills’ offense looks very solid

The Bills have primarily thrived thanks to Josh Allen‘s individual brilliance. However, it appears the front office is now determined to provide him with more support, adding weapons rather than relying solely on the quarterback’s “clutch” heroics.

Not only do the Bills possess an outstanding RB1 in James Cook, but the variety of pass catchers at Allen’s disposal looks incredibly deep. DJ Moore, Khalil Shakir, Joshua Palmer, Keon Coleman, Mecole Hardman Jr., Dalton Kincaid, and Dawson Knox are just a few of the names set to feature in this high-powered offense.

In the 2026 NFL Draft, the Bills are not expected to use their first-round pick (26th overall) on a wide receiver. Instead, they are likely to bolster the position in the later rounds, hoping to land a “hidden gem” to round out the depth chart.

Super Bowl or bust?

Last season, many believed the Bills had a clear path to Super Bowl LX with Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and Joe Burrow absent from the playoffs. However, they were stunned by Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos in the Divisional Round.

WALK IT OFF. #WPMOYChallenge + @idjmoore pic.twitter.com/ymI55QrIoV
— Chicago Bears (@ChicagoBears) December 21, 2025

In 2026, expectations are significantly higher. The Bills are currently favorites to win the AFC East despite the impressive 2025 campaign turned in by the New England Patriots. As of today, it seems the Super Bowl is the standard; anything less would be considered a disappointment for Buffalo.

Josh Allen, the Buffalo Bills’ superstar, is set to begin preparations for the upcoming NFL season, according to Joe Brady.
Two months ago, Josh Allen underwent surgery to repair a broken bone in one of his feet. That setback is now firmly in the rearview, and Joe Brady knows he’ll have the Buffalo Bills’ superstar available as preparations ramp up for the new NFL season.

“He’s good to go,” the head coach told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. “The thing about Josh Allen, he got surgery after the season, but he’s playing as if you think there’s nothing wrong with him. The guy could barely walk, and then he’s playing games and it’s not impacting [his play].

“He’s built different. And let’s hope it continues that way, but he’ll be good to go in the offseason. I talk with him regularly. He’s just excited to get going with guys like DJ Moore, kind of figure out what it’s going to look like, just this new kind of era.”

Once again an MVP candidate, Josh Allen still has unfinished business in his career. With Sean McDermott no longer at the helm, the question looms: can the star quarterback finally lead the Bills to the long-awaited Super Bowl?

Josh Allen #17 of the Buffalo Bills.

What injury was Allen dealing with?

Josh Allen recently underwent surgery to repair a fifth metatarsal avulsion fracture in his right foot. Although he sustained the broken bone during Week 16 of the 2025 season, he played through the pain until the Bills were eliminated in the playoffs.

A new era begins in Orchard Park

The Buffalo Bills have promoted Joe Brady to head coach, signing him to a five-year contract to replace Sean McDermott. After serving as the team’s offensive coordinator since 2023, Brady now faces the challenge of transition from play-caller to the team’s main strategist.

With teams like the Denver Broncos, Buffalo Bills, and San Francisco 49ers interested in him, how is his knee recovery going?
KC Concepcion lit the College Football scene on fire, and now he is setting his sights in the big leagues. A top-tier prospect that has gathered the interest of the Buffalo Bills, San Francisco 49ers, and Denver Broncos, among others, is recovering from a knee injury, though new reports are positive.

According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, KC Concepcion underwent a knee scope last week, but he is projected to be at 100% capabilities for rookie camp. Hence, all should be good for him and his NFL Draft stock to not plummet.

Given his draft projections, many put teams like the Buffalo Bills and the Denver Broncos as possible destinations for Concepcion. The San Francisco 49ers were also interested, though they signed Christian Kirk and Mike Evans recently, therefore their interest might have diminished.

KC Concepcion’s skills put him as a possible WR1 in the NFL

Concepcion played two seasons at North Carolina State before transferring to Texas A&M last season, where he thrived. He had 61 catches for 919 yards and an SEC-leading nine touchdowns in 2025, granting him All-American honors.

He has elite yards after catch skills, versatility, route-running, and ability to get separation make him a highly-touted prospect. His one concern are his drops issues. He has a 9.3% career drop rate in CFB, as well as seven drops in 2025. Some also question his physicality due to his short arms. Still, the talent is there.

What is the best landing spot for Concepcion?

With the 49ers having a newly-reformed WR room, there is a chance they don’t waste a high draft pick in Concepcion. The Buffalo Bills traded for DJ Moore, and still have Khalil Shakir and Keon Coleman. Concepcion might be WR3 in Buffalo.

The Broncos have Courtland Sutton, Troy Franklin, and Marvin Mims Jr. He could actually have an impact here behind Suttonn and Franklin. A sleeper spot could be the Pittsburgh Steelers, they have Michael Pittman Jr. and DK Metcalf, but Concepcion could create chaos from the slot.
