12 teams qualified to fight for the first title of the year. The Wild Card started this weekend, with Tigres defeating Puebla, Santos surprising Pachuca, Leon losing at home against Atletico San Luis, and Cruz Azul being eliminated Atlas at Azteca Stadium.

The best twelve teams of the regular season standings qualified for the big party.
