Date and venue for 2021 MLB All-Star Game

The 2021 MLB All-Star Game will be held on July 13th at Coors Field, Denver, home of the Colorado Rockies. The Midsummer Classic was originally set to be celebratedin Atlanta, but the league decided to relocate the event after thecontroversial decision made bythe state of Georgia thatrestricts voting rigths for their residents.

Denver showed up immediately to host the traditional festivities of baseball’s mid-season, and the MLB decided to grant the locationto the Coors Field for the second time in history. This stadium was the home of the 1998 All-Star Game, three years after its inauguration.

“MLB is grateful to the Rockies, the City of Denver and the State of Colorado for their support of this summer’s All-Star Game. We appreciate their flexibility and enthusiasm to deliver a first-class event for our game and the region. We look forward to celebrating our sport’s best players and entertaining fans in the world,” MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred wrote in an official announcement.

The Midsummer Classic festivities will also include the MLB Draft, which doesn’t have a confirmed date yet, but it will take place by those days. The All-Star Game will be celebrated after a long time of absence, in a season in which baseball is returningin the best way.
