Orlando City have reportedly set a $24.5 millionvaluation for USA international Daryl Dike as the 21-year-old raised interest from England. The Premier League side, however, would try to convince the MLS team to lower its demands.
Daryl Dike‘s progress hasn’t gone unnoticed. The Orlando City striker has not only made a name for himself in the MLS but also in theEnglishChampionship, where he hada positive loan spell withBarnsley, and was in the limelight again during the 2021 Gold Cup with the USMNT.

The 21-year-old sensation is one of themost exciting prospects in the MLS and his tenure in England proved he can adapt to competitionabroad. Dike scored an impressive nine goals in 19 appearances in the English second-tier.

In the summer he continued in great form by scoring twice in the USA run to the regional title but, despite thetransfer rumors, he stayed in Orlando. Now, however, he has apparently drawn serious interest from the Premier League.

Orlando City reportedly ask for $24.5m to sell Dike to Premier League team

Dike, who has three goals and an assist in nine games in the 2021 MLS regular season, has been linked to interest from the English top-flight. According to The Sun, Crystal Palace are keeping tabs on him.

Daryl Dike spent the second half of the 2020-21 season at Barnsley on loan.

However, the£18 million asking price ($24.5m) Orlando have reportedly set for Daryl Dike may be considered too high for The Eagles, who wouldn’tbe looking for an immediate starter but to add depth in attack instead.

Dike’s future looks promising and he still has time to continue improving his game and show what he is capable of doing. But in the meantime, Crystal Palace might believe it’s too soon to satisfy Orlando’s high demands.

After the USMNT team’s seventh Gold Cup championship many players on what was considered a B squad are rumored to be changing clubs before the start of the European season. We will review where some might be going and what offers have been made.
It was a summer of trophies for the USMNT and Gregg Berhalter after many fans and pundits were skeptical if the former World Cup defender was the adequate person to lead the national team going into World Cup qualifying. Both passed with flying colors with two back-to-back wins over archrival Mexico in each final.

When it was all set and done the USMNT and Gregg Berhalter can add the Concacaf Nations League and Gold Cup to their list of honors. Berhalter can even boast that he won a title on his birthday and increased his depth chart.

While many of these players may not be in the squad come qualifying, their stock has risen and has caught the eye of many teams in Europe, here is a list of some of the Gold Cup winning squad members that could be changing teams before the start of the European season.

Sam Vines

    Sam Vines (Getty)

The USMNT left-back and current Colorado Rapids player Sam Vines is set to make a move to Belgium according to reports. The club in question is Royal Antwerp and they are set to pay a $2 million transfer fee for Vines. Vines has 8 caps and 1 goal for the USMNT.

Reggie Cannon

    Reggie Cannon (Getty)

Currently at Boavista in Portugal, Reggie Cannon may be on the move to the French league and if you want to believe teammate Gianluca Busio, who let it slip on an Instagram live, that Cannon will move to OGC Nice. Boavista’s economic problems are well known, and Cannon has been rumored to either move to France or FC Porto.

Gianluca Busio

    Gianluca Busio (Getty)

According to various sources Gianluca Busio is close to a 4 million Euro transfer to Italian side Venezia FC. Other teams in Italy were reportedly interested in the young midfielder but Venezia FC is ready to pull the trigger.

Daryl Dike

    Daryl Dike (Getty)

Daryl Dike has been the subject of many rumors since his stint in England, from Leeds to Manchester United, Everton made a serious bid for his services, what is scaring teams away is the $20 million price tag the player has. MLS and Orlando City may need to lower their expectations a bit if Dike is to move to Europe.

Matthew Hoppe

    Matthew Hoppe (Getty)

Up and coming forward Matthew Hoppe is rumored to be on the move to Germany team Bayer Leverkusen. Hoppe made a huge splash at both club and country in recent months and a move to Leverkusen would only raise his stock in a thin forward line for the USMNT.

Transfer Rumor | Daryl Dike has four Premier League teams interested in him

https://bolavip.com/en/soccer/daryl-dike-has-four-premier-league-teams-interested-in-him-20210617-0004.html

The 21-year-old American striker showed what he can do at Barnsley this season, now Dike has interest from four teams in the topflight of English soccer.
Daryl Dike has slowly started to become a household name for USMNT fans. The young striker came on to the scene showing his scoring capacity at Orlando City, where Dike scored 8 goals in 17 games. Dike almost won the young player award in 2020 and quickly his talents were spotted by Barnsley of the English Championship, where he was loaned for the remainder of the 2021 season.

At Barnsley, Dike was a sensation, striking 9 times in 19 games for a team who played a very unattractive kick and rush style, the big target forward showed his skill on the ball and used his weight to get spaces and strike on goal. Despite Barnsley not being able to win promotion to the Premier League, Dike’s stint was very successful, but Barnsley could not execute the $20 million buy option on the loan.

Since his stint at Barnsley and now upon his return to MLS, Dike is the subject of a lot of transfer talk, MLS and Orlando City are asking for at least $20 million. The striker added to his value scoring his first international goal against Costa Rica for the USMNT. Here are the four clubs that have a heavy interest in Dike according to various reports in England.

Everton

Daryl Dike #24 of the United States controls the ball against Yeltsin Tejeda #17 of Costa Rica (Getty)

Everton has been linked with Dike since the striker began to get notice from the English press. Everton has been very kind with American players, it has been home to Joe Max-Moore, Tim Howard, and Landon Donovan. Everton is also interested in LAFC striker Diego Rossi, so it might come down to who they can get for cheaper.

Leeds United

Daryl Dike with Orlando City (Getty)

This rumor started near the end of Dike’s stint, and while USMNT fans mouth water at the possibility of Dike playing under Marcelo Bielsa, this looks farfetched. Bielsa’s tactics would require a huge change in game for the striker, which at the current rate, doesn’t seem like a gamble Leeds would take.

Wolves

Daryl Dike of Barnsley celebrates after scoring their side’s first goal during the Sky Bet Championship match between Luton Town (Getty)

Wolves could be a good fit for Dike, he would most certainly fight for a starting position and is a club that has similar expectations like Barnsley or Everton. The main issue may be Dike’s price tag.

Manchester United

Daryl Dike of Barnsley celebrates after scoring the opening goal during the Sky Bet Championship match between Huddersfield Town (Getty)

Yes, Manchester United, it was reported that ManU were monitoring the young striker, and while Manchester United is stacked at forward, Dike could be a good second option for ManU and could afford him at the price MLS wants. With the influx of Americans on top clubs around the World, Dike could very well go to Manchester United but surely as a sub role.

More and more clubs from all over the world scout the league looking for talent be it young South American players or American prospects. In recent years MLS has made it clear that for the right price teams are willing to sell players to bigger stages and greener pastures.

In the last four seasonsthe league has sold some of the most prominent homegrown talents for high value, $41 million in total if you combine the transfers of Mark McKenzie, Bryan Reynolds, Brenden Aaronson, and Ricardo Pepi. There have also been high profile sales such as Gonzalo “Pity” Martínez to Al- Nassr of the Saudi Professional League for $18 million.

As the league continues to buy young up and coming South Americans and the youth academies continue to produce American prospects, one thing is for certain, MLS will continue to sell talent at a high value, the highest in their history.Who are the biggest transfers in MLS history?
