“The Bulls had some interest in Duncan Robinson before and if the Heat really wanted Vuc, that could be the basis of a deal, Vuc for Robinson.The Heat would have to add [Omer] Yurtseven, give Chicago a big guy to work with. And the Bulls would probably want them to take back Tony Bradley just to have a little more money under the tax in case they want to add a guy.”

Duncan Robinson has certainly done well for Miami all these years, but it would be interesting for them to try their luck with a veteran player like Vucevic. The Heat may have what it takes to challenge for the ultimate glory, but they must surround Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo with the right material.

What I can control is how I respond to it, how I choose to embrace these challenges. I need to do whatever it takes to excel in it.“

While he logged 25.9minutes per contest during the regular season, Robinson averaged only 12.2 minutes per game in the playoffs. Many have questioned his future in Miami after this situation, but he’s under contract until 2026. Instead of driving him away from South Beach, this experience couldbring the best out of him next season.

Rob Pelinka revamped a roster that had won the NBA championship just two seasons ago. Developing chemistry takes time and they were barely healthy all season. But even at full strength, the roster just wasn’t a good fit.

For any of these moves to happen, they’d have to part ways with coveted youngster Talen Horton-Tucker. They refused to include him in any trades a couple of seasons ago, yet he was underwhelming last season when asked to take a step forward.

Butthen again, he’s shown glimpses of elite scoring ability and explosiveness from time to time. Maybe, all he needs is a change of scenery to finally break out as the future star some scouts think he’ll be.

The Lakers don’t have the financial flexibility to operate, especially with Russell Westbrook’s mammoth contract. So, making moves will be tricky, but Pelinka needs to work overtime to revert this mess.
