Entering his third NFL season, Keon Coleman has accepted that 2026 is a 'make or break' campaign for his future with Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.
Heading into a pivotal third year, Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman isn’t shying away from the mounting pressure. The former second-round pick recently acknowledged the high stakes of the 2026 season, admitting it is a ‘make or break’ stretch for his career in Buffalo.

For many fans, the Bills have yet to fully live up to expectations. Despite having an elite talent like Josh Allen at quarterback, the club has been unable to capture ultimate postseason glory, and even GM Brandon Beane is upset about not reaching the Super Bowl yet.

While Allen has been an outstanding asset for the franchise, the weapons at his disposal have often fallen short of the elite standard set by the quarterback. Keon Coleman is well aware of this reality, openly admitting that the 2026 campaign could be his last in Buffalo if he fails to deliver better performances on the field.

“For me, it’s make or break,” Keon Coleman told reporters after Buffalo’s Tuesday OTA session, via ESPN’s Alaina Getzenberg. “If you s—, you might not be here, simple as that. I know what I’m capable of. So, if I fall anything short of that, I’m doing myself a disservice and my team.”

The Bills have not taken advantage of recent opportunities

We heard from Keon Coleman today.

Said his play last season was "ass" & that this upcoming season is make or break for him. pic.twitter.com/MoxbrxLQ7z
— Matthew Bové (@Matt_Bove) May 19, 2026

Throughout his tenure in Buffalo, Josh Allen has faced heavy scrutiny for his inability to guide the team to a Super Bowl. Last season, he seemingly had a golden opportunity to make a deep run, yet the signal-caller and his squad failed to capitalize on the situation.

With Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, and Lamar Jackson all missing from the postseason field in 2025, many fans believed the path to the Super Bowl was wide open for Allen. Instead, the Bills failed to live up to expectations, suffering a disappointing Divisional Round loss to the Denver Broncos.

This outcome has only intensified the pressure weighing on Allen. Even with the conference’s premier quarterbacks sidelined, he was unable to lead the Bills to a championship breakthrough, leaving many to wonder whether Buffalo can ever truly become the powerhouse fans believe they are.

The Bills’ key offseason addition that will impact Coleman

Hoping to remedy these offensive struggles, the Bills front office secured the services of a dynamic new weapon this offseason. Buffalo completed a major trade with the Chicago Bears to acquire wide receiver DJ Moore, landing a proven top target for Allen but directly altering the trajectory for Keon Coleman.

Following Moore’s arrival, the wide receiver depth chart has undergone a significant shift. Coleman now finds himself slotted as the WR4, sliding down a spot and making it even more challenging to carve out consistent targets in what is shaping up to be a decisive season for his future in Buffalo.

The Buffalo Bills signed OLB Mike Danna, a player who won two Super Bowls with the Kansas City Chiefs, in order to improve the defense and help out Josh Allen.
Josh Allen is getting a new teammate, one with plenty of Super Bowl experience. The Buffalo Bills are signing two-time NFL champion with the Kansas City Chiefs, Mike Danna.

Reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN, the outside linebacker will now play for the Buffalo Bills on a one-year deal after visiting them last week. Danna is a very good player. While not racking up huge numbers, Danna was also reliable to make key plays for the Chiefs back in the day.

The Bills need that. Their pass-rush has been an issue for quite a while, and while Danna is unlikely to get 10+ sacks, he can get you 5-7 in key moments. The Bills hope that a better defense will take some pressure off of Josh Allen’s shoulders.

The Bills have tried many pass-rushers to no effect

Von Miller and Joey Bosa were huge names that the Bills brought in recent years to bolster their pass rush, and while not bad, they weren’t the difference-makers the Bills thought they could be.

Joey Bosa #97 of the Buffalo Bills

This year, they did the same thing again by signing Bradley Chubb to a three-year, $43.5 million deal. However, now they got Danna too, and recently-drafted TJ Parker out of Clemson. The Bills are hoping at least one of them becomes a threat to opposing quarterbacks.

The Bills have a solid roster to work with

Buffalo strengthened its main needs this offseason. As you can see, the pass-rush has been bolstered. However, Josh Allen also got a major upgrade in his receiving core, as the Bills brought DJ Moore to the team, a certified WR1.

They also used a second-rounder in corner Davison Igbinosun to improve their secondary. All in all, they addressed their main needs in hopes of providing Josh Allen with a roster capable of going to the Super Bowl.

After being released by the Kansas City Chiefs in February, two-time Super Bowl winner Mike Danna is visiting Josh Allen's Buffalo Bills.
The Buffalo Bills know Josh Allen is in charge of the offense. However, they are looking at a two-time Super Bowl winner with the Kansas City Chiefs to strengthen their defense. Hence, they are hosting Mike Danna to a visit.

According to Jeremy Fowler, this is the first reported visit since he was released by the Chiefs in February. Danna, who is 28 years old, had spent all his career in Kansas City prior to his release.

The Bills ranked 20th in sacks in 2025, so bringing an experienced, proven winner like Danna into the team will surely help on improving that statistic. The Bills need good depth in the defensive end position and Danna could fill that hole. Josh Allen could have more leeway on offense as well.

Danna’s career numbers are not as impressive, but he is a force

Danna has been in the NFL since 2020 and has racked up 21.5 sacks during that time. He was a regular starter for the Chiefs since 2023, but given the fact that they’ve restructured their defensive line, Danna was a needed release.

Mike Danna already has a pick. Now he has a sack 😤

WASvsKC on ESPN/ABC
Stream on @NFLPlus and ESPN App pic.twitter.com/YsIlKMeKSd
— NFL (@NFL) October 28, 2025

The Bills could definitely take advantage of that. Danna just had one sack last season, but it was a down year for basically all of the Chiefs team. That could help the Bills though, as they could sign him with a discount, and then see him flourish once again.

The Bills defensive line has great upside

The Bills use a 3-4 base formation. The Bills just brought Jim Leonhard as their new defensive coordinator. He is coming from the Denver Broncos, so he is likely to use a very aggressive pass rush without much blitz.

DE – TJ Sanders (this is where Danna could fit)

NT – Deone Walker

DT – Ed Oliver

LOLB – Greg Rousseau

WLB – Dorian Williams

MLB – Terrel Bernard

ROLB – Bradley Chubb

The Buffalo Bills will head into the upcoming 2026 NFL season once again with Josh Allen as the team’s main star.
Josh Allen is eagerly awaiting the 2026 NFL season, one in which he hopes to finally reach the top. Now fully recovered from his foot injury, the arrival of his newborn child with his partner has given the Buffalo Bills quarterback new motivation as he prepares to face the year with a different mindset.

“I think it definitely changes the mindset a little bit. I am very excited,” Allen said, via the team’s website. “I do think this is going to be the best version of myself in all aspects in my professional career and my personal life.

“That ‘want to win’ will never change. The ‘why I want to do it’ has. So why I want to do it and to show my family, to show my daughter how hard you need to work in order to accomplish something so great. And as long as I play this game, that’s going to be my mindset.”

Allen wants to remove a big thorn from his side

Josh Allen enters the 2026 season with the singular goal of reaching his first Super Bowl, following another dominant but ultimately heartbreaking campaign. In 2025, Allen maintained his status as an elite “touchdown machine,” recording 3,668 passing yards with 25 touchdowns through the air, while remaining a lethal threat on the ground with 14 rushing scores.

Josh Allen #17 of the Buffalo Bills.

Despite leading the Buffalo Bills to a 12–5 record and a Wild Card victory over the Jaguars, their postseason run ended in the Divisional Round with a devastating 33–30 overtime loss to the Denver Broncos. With a career total of 29 playoff passing touchdowns and high efficiency, Allen’s primary challenge remains overcoming these late-game hurdles to finally secure a spot on the NFL’s biggest stage.

Buffalo has its star back from injury

Shortly before the end of last season, Allen suffered a foot injury that forced him to play at less than full strength. Now recovered, the quarterback has progressed through his rehabilitation and is participating in OTAs without restrictions.

“It feels really good right now. I don’t feel like I have any limitations,” he said. “A little piece of bone just kind of broke off and was floating there so they just went in, took it out, kind of like a small rock. They literally just cut it out, left it on the table and sewed it back up, and scar tissue will form around it.”

The Buffalo Bills have named Joe Brady the team's new head coach, but he admits he isn't entirely comfortable with Josh Allen shifting to calling him "coach."
A new era has begun for the Buffalo Bills. While Joe Brady has officially taken over as head coach, he has admitted to some unease regarding how the new hierarchy has altered his relationship with Josh Allen.

Earlier this year, the Bills decided to part ways with Sean McDermott following a disappointing Divisional Round exit. After an extensive search, the organization determined the best candidate was already in-house, elevating Brady from offensive coordinator to head coach on January 27.

While Brady is thrilled to lead the franchise, the transition has been somewhat surreal. He recently revealed that Josh Allen has shifted to calling him “Coach” instead of “Joe”—a formal change that Brady admits feels “bizarre” and is taking some time to get used to.

“Honestly, the hardest thing is — it’s driving me crazy — him calling me ‘coach,’” head coach Joe Brady said, via Jay Skurski of the Buffalo News. “I hate that.”

A massive opportunity for Joe Brady

The Bills remain perennial Super Bowl contenders, and with Brady at the helm, the team is expected to adopt an even more aggressive, offensive-minded philosophy. Brady’s familiarity with the roster is a significant advantage, and the team’s recent offseason additions—most notably DJ Moore—are expected to further elevate the unit.

Crucially, the relationship between Brady and Allen remains the foundation of the team’s success. The two have been “attached at the hip” since 2022, and maintaining that strong bond will be vital as they navigate the pressure of a “championship or bust” 2026 season.

As of today, expectations are sky-high in Western New York. If the Bills fail to reach the Super Bowl this year, the “bust” narrative will likely return to haunt Buffalo, intensifying the pressure on both the new head coach and his star quarterback.

DJ Moore has just joined the Buffalo Bills, and expectations are already high. Head coach Joe Brady believes both Josh Allen and the rest of the receiving corps will benefit significantly from his arrival.
The Buffalo Bills have provided Josh Allen with a legitimate WR1 in DJ Moore. Now, head coach Joe Brady has revealed why this signing is so significant—and it isn’t strictly because of the wide receiver’s talent.

On March 11, the Bills fulfilled Josh Allen’s wish by securing a new WR1. The club acquired DJ Moore via trade from the Chicago Bears, a move that has led fans to believe the quarterback finally has a truly formidable receiving corps.

Joe Brady, who recently took over as head coach, shares this sentiment. He has praised Moore’s skillset and believes his presence will draw enough defensive attention to help the other pass catchers shine.

“Having a guy like DJ it’s going to help both of them,” Brady said about wide receiver Khalil Shakir and tight end Dalton Kincaid, via the team’s website. “[Defenses] can’t just focus on one particular person. It gives us another layer of somebody on the outside. Khalil and Dalton have attacked a lot of the middle of the field, a lot of the inside zones . . . It was important to get a skill set like DJ, a guy that can stretch it, can win one-on-one, can get the ball in his hands, and he can win on a slant.”

The Bills’ offense looks very solid

The Bills have primarily thrived thanks to Josh Allen‘s individual brilliance. However, it appears the front office is now determined to provide him with more support, adding weapons rather than relying solely on the quarterback’s “clutch” heroics.

Not only do the Bills possess an outstanding RB1 in James Cook, but the variety of pass catchers at Allen’s disposal looks incredibly deep. DJ Moore, Khalil Shakir, Joshua Palmer, Keon Coleman, Mecole Hardman Jr., Dalton Kincaid, and Dawson Knox are just a few of the names set to feature in this high-powered offense.

In the 2026 NFL Draft, the Bills are not expected to use their first-round pick (26th overall) on a wide receiver. Instead, they are likely to bolster the position in the later rounds, hoping to land a “hidden gem” to round out the depth chart.

Super Bowl or bust?

Last season, many believed the Bills had a clear path to Super Bowl LX with Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and Joe Burrow absent from the playoffs. However, they were stunned by Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos in the Divisional Round.

In 2026, expectations are significantly higher. The Bills are currently favorites to win the AFC East despite the impressive 2025 campaign turned in by the New England Patriots. As of today, it seems the Super Bowl is the standard; anything less would be considered a disappointment for Buffalo.

Josh Allen, the Buffalo Bills’ superstar, is set to begin preparations for the upcoming NFL season, according to Joe Brady.
Two months ago, Josh Allen underwent surgery to repair a broken bone in one of his feet. That setback is now firmly in the rearview, and Joe Brady knows he’ll have the Buffalo Bills’ superstar available as preparations ramp up for the new NFL season.

“He’s good to go,” the head coach told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. “The thing about Josh Allen, he got surgery after the season, but he’s playing as if you think there’s nothing wrong with him. The guy could barely walk, and then he’s playing games and it’s not impacting [his play].

“He’s built different. And let’s hope it continues that way, but he’ll be good to go in the offseason. I talk with him regularly. He’s just excited to get going with guys like DJ Moore, kind of figure out what it’s going to look like, just this new kind of era.”

Once again an MVP candidate, Josh Allen still has unfinished business in his career. With Sean McDermott no longer at the helm, the question looms: can the star quarterback finally lead the Bills to the long-awaited Super Bowl?

Josh Allen #17 of the Buffalo Bills.

What injury was Allen dealing with?

Josh Allen recently underwent surgery to repair a fifth metatarsal avulsion fracture in his right foot. Although he sustained the broken bone during Week 16 of the 2025 season, he played through the pain until the Bills were eliminated in the playoffs.

A new era begins in Orchard Park

The Buffalo Bills have promoted Joe Brady to head coach, signing him to a five-year contract to replace Sean McDermott. After serving as the team’s offensive coordinator since 2023, Brady now faces the challenge of transition from play-caller to the team’s main strategist.

Tom Brady has been strongly linked to Team USA’s flag football squad for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics. However, the legendary quarterback has expressed a preference for seeing younger talents, such as Patrick Mahomes or Josh Allen, lead the offense on the world stage.
Flag football will make its historic Olympic debut at the Los Angeles 2028 Games. While fans are eager to see Tom Brady under center for Team USA, the legendary quarterback has expressed a preference for seeing younger talents like Patrick Mahomes or Josh Allen lead the offense.

When the Olympic Committee first announced flag football as a new discipline, Team USA immediately emerged as the gold-medal favorite. Numerous stars could shine on this stage, with Brady being the most iconic name linked to the roster.

However, the sport will make its debut five years after Brady’s NFL retirement. For that reason, he has suggested that Mahomes or Allen should lead the charge, though the seven-time Super Bowl champion hasn’t entirely shut the door on participating in some capacity.

“I would never say never,” Brady told GMA when asked if he would play for TEam USA in the 2028 Olympics. “But that is probably unlikely, just so you know. I think for these young guys (Patrick Mahomes or Josh Allen), it’s good for them to do it. If I ever want to come in for an advisory role, as a coach, something like that. That’s probably better suited for me.

never say never though 🫣 (via @GMA) pic.twitter.com/Y08XGUPVXm
— NFL (@NFL) March 17, 2026

“I love my Fox job. I love my broadcasting. Big commitment to that. I love the NFL with the Raiders and working on that, and different projects I have. So, I got a lot going on,” he added.

Tom Brady to showcase flag football skills

On March 21, Tom Brady will return to the field for a high-profile friendly match at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. Competing against a mix of NFL stars and influencers, Brady is set to play limited minutes, yet his performance could still serve as a powerful statement for a potential 2028 Olympic call-up.

Flag football is naturally less physically demanding than the traditional game. While the 5-on-5 format emphasizes trick plays and agility, Brady’s elite precision and vision could prove more valuable than raw mobility.

If Brady delivers a vintage performance—even in a friendly setting—it will undoubtedly spark debate among fans. Many will wonder if his unparalleled experience makes him the best option for Team USA, even as he approaches 50 years old.

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills will have C.J. Gardner-Johnson as one of the key additions to their defense.
One of the main reasons C.J. Gardner-Johnson ultimately decided to join the Buffalo Bills was the opportunity to be surrounded by superstar talent like Josh Allen — and, perhaps, make another run at a Super Bowl.

“A chance to win with a good quarterback. Josh (Allen) is phenomenal,” he revealed, via the team’s official website. “[Be] a part of a team that has a fighting chance every Sunday, and I just have to [rebuild] and [find] my identity again … go out there [and] just be you playing football with guys that [have] been playing at a high caliber. Surrounding myself with superstars.”

The veteran safety already knows what it’s like to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy, and he believes his arrival in Bills Mafia could give him a great chance to reach the top of the NFL once again.

Gardner-Johnson’s ring

In Super Bowl LIX, C.J. Gardner-Johnson helped the Philadelphia Eagles secure a 40–22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans. The veteran safety recorded 3 total tackles (1 solo) and played a key role in a defensive effort that stifled the Chiefs’ high-powered offense, earning his first championship ring.

C.J.
Several teams in a short time

By signing with the Bills, C.J. Gardner-Johnson is set to join his fifth different team in just four years. Since leaving the Saints in 2022, the safety has transitioned from the Eagles to the Lions, back to Philadelphia for a SB-winning campaign in 2024, and through a whirlwind 2025 season with the Texans and Bears before arriving in Orchard Park.

Gardner-Johnson’s unique reputation has put the spotlight on whether his presence on the field can truly help the Bills make a big impact. Only time will tell if this new chapter in his career will end in victory once again.

Josh Allen chasing ultimate glory

Despite a stellar postseason resume featuring 29 passing touchdowns and a record-breaking 79 career rushing scores, Allen’s deep playoff runs have frequently been halted in the AFC Championship or Divisional rounds, most recently by a heartbreaking loss to the Broncos in January.

Entering his ninth season as a professional player, the dual-threat star remains focused on finally overcoming the hurdle of the AFC title game to bring a championship to Buffalo.

The Buffalo Bills signed CJ Gardner Johnson. His reputation is not great, but the new Josh Allen teammate doesn't care that much.
The NFL is a mean business. Players are traded, cut, and go from team to team. When that happens players build a reputation, and cornerback CJ Gardner-Johnson doesn’t have the best of them. He just signed with the Buffalo Bills, where Josh Allen controls the offense. Now, he is in charge of elevating the secondary.

During his introductory press conference, he addressed the narrative that says he is not an ideal teammate. CJ Gardner-Johnson was rather unapologetic. “For me, I look at, like, every place I’ve been with, I won… What was the news flashes when we were winning, going 14-3? When we were on the top of the mountain… When I was catching six [interceptions], but where was those like — but why now? So I just take it with a grain of salt . . . it is what it is.”

He has a point, actually. Gardner-Johnson has played for Super Bowl contenders throughout his whole career. In fact, he is a Super Bowl champion after all, when he played with the Eagles. Now, he is joining another contender, but only now is he getting these questions.

The Bills need to keep their strength on their secondary

The Bills had the best passing defense in the NFL last season. However, they still wanted to strengthen the unit. Hence, they bring a top-tier, champion-caliber safety in Gardner-Johnson. Also, they signed safety Geno Stone. They also sent Taron Johnson to the Raiders and released cornerback Dane Jackson and safety Taylor Rapp.

pic.twitter.com/z2zfFC6cFJ
— Film Collins (@filmcollins01) March 14, 2026

Last year, the Bills only allowed 156.9 passing yards. Getting the best of this free agency will only help them maintain this level of play. After all, Josh Allen can play superhero at quarterback, but if his defense allow him to not be in shootouts on a weekly basis, that’s the best.

Will the Bills defense overcome the McDermott departure?

This offseason, the Bills decided to part ways with long-tenured head coach Sean McDermott, in favor of offensive-minded Joe Brady. However, Sean McDermott was the defensive mind behind that. Yes, he had flaws (their rushing defense was not good by any means), but he was the one in charge.

Now, new defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard was previously the defensive backs coach and passing game coordinator of the Denver Broncos. Which means, he has expertise on that unit. However, his challenge will be transforming the run defense into a good one.

https://bolavip.com/en/nfl/dj-moores-arrival-to-bills-forced-team-to-release-josh-allens-teammate

Trading for DJ Moore is not the only change for Josh Allen regarding the Buffalo Bills' wide receiver room.
The Buffalo Bills are getting active during the 2026 NFL Free Agency period. However, they started early. First, they traded for wide receiver DJ Moore, and now, they’ve released a Josh Allen teammate to create some space.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Bills are releasing Curtis Samuel. The nine-year veteran spent two seasons with the Bills, but last year, he only played six games for seven catches and 81 yards. He became a non-factor for Josh Allen and the team as he also spent quite a while on Injured Reserve.

Samuel is now headed to free agency, where the 29-year-old will try to go to a team where he can shine. His best year was back in 2020, where he got 851 yards in 15 games with the Carolina Panthers, where he was the teammate of DJ Moore, the one who indirectly caused his release from the Bills.

Samuel is a collateral cap casualty

The Bills will save $6 million in 2026 salary cap space. Unfortunately for Samuel, the fact that Moore arrived on the team meant that one wideout was going to be let go. Unfortunately, it was him. Samuel struggled to stay healthy and struggled with his production as well.

🚨🚨 SALARY CAP CASUALTY

The #Bills are expected to release WR Curtis Samuel, which will save Buffalo $6 MILLION in cap space.#BillsMafia pic.twitter.com/VR1qiOYN6r
— NFL Rumors (@nflrums) February 20, 2026

The move helps alleviate the Bills’ salary cap constraints. The Bills also released cornerback Taron Johnson, which will save a further $1.9 million in cap space. Hence, the Bills are trying to create room for bigger moves by releasing expendable players.

Bills WR room is heavily paid

The Bills were the second-highest-paid WR room in the NFL, only behind the Bengals. With this move, they will go down to the fourth. They went from $59.4 million spent on WRs to $53.4, putting them below the Dallas Cowboys ($56.7m) and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($56.3m).

The difference is that when you think about the Bengals, Cowboys, and Buccaneers, you think of elite WR rooms that warrant that kind of money. With the Bills, it’s just not the case, as they’ve been a below par unit for years.
