Los Angeles Dodgers star Justin Turner was suddenly removed from Game 6 of the World Series after testing positive for Covid-19 but he celebrated with the team anyway.
The Los Angeles Dodgers can’t catch a break. Even when things go their way, it seems like there’s always something looming around that could spoil the party. This time, it was a pandemic and one of their players testing positive for Covid-19.

MLB had to remove Justin Turner from Game 6 of the World Series in the 7th inning because he tested positive for coronavirus. His first test came back inconclusive, and the second sample confirmed their suspicion.

This was a huge bummer because Turner is one of the most beloved and respected veterans in the clubhouse and he wasn’t going to be able to celebrate their long-awaited World Series win with the rest of his teammates due to isolation.

However, Turner wasn’t going to let anything, not even Covid-19, from standing in the way of him taking photos with his teammates and lifting the Commissioner’s Trophy, even though he should have known better.

Don’t get me wrong. If someone deserves to celebrate, that’s Justin Turner. The Dodgers have been through hell to win their 7th World Series pennant and they’re all responsible, full-grown men who are aware of the consequences of their actions.

Then again, this shouldn’t haven’t even happened in the first place. How was a player with an inconclusive test there to begin with? What if the Tampa Bay Rays had won yesterday and the league had multiple positive tests ahead of Game 7? Fortunately, Turner is currently asymptomatic and hopefully, he’ll be recovered in no time, but everybody should’ve known better.
