Markieff Morris hasn't forgotten about Nikola Jokic's shove, and he's still looking to get back at him.
Back in 2021, the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat got into a heated altercation, with Nikola Jokic shoving Markieff Morris on the back, and Jimmy Butler and other Heat players later trying to go at him in the locker room.

Morris missed 58 games that season because of the injury, and he had several issues working his way back to the floor. Ironically, he had a bad rap in the league for being the one who did most of the trash-talking and dirty plays, not the other way around.

So, now that he’s back to full NBA shape, he made it loud and clear that he hasn’t forgotten about that incident. If anything, he’s looking forward to getting back at the two-time MVP.

Markieff Morris Threatens Nikola Jokic

“A sucker shot, that’s what we call it in our hood… The shot was it was a little hard, it was a little whiplash,” he said on All The Smoke. “So I mean to be 350 catching me off guard it really ain’t do shit but at the time I was a little off.”

“It was more so with the Miami Heat, they were just trying to protect me from myself. I was cleared to play like two weeks after that, they just held me out,” he added. “Took a sucker shot, it’s like when you get – they call it snuck – he snuck me yeah. It was a sucker shot, he gon’ get his though.”

Maybe this wasn’t the smartest choice of words for Morris, who’ll likely have a fine coming his way. Also, we’d think twice before trying to go against a seven-foot Serbian with a temper.

The Brooklyn Nets need Ben Simmons at his best to be a real contender. That's why Markieff Morris lauded his recent improvement after a tough start to the season.
Ben Simmons made his long-awaited Brooklyn Nets debut this season. He was out for a full season and made the rounds more for his feud with the Philadelphia 76ers than for his progress on the basketball court.

As expected, he needed to shake off the rust and get his legs back under him before being back to his usual level. But some fans were worried after watching him struggle so badly to start the season.

Now, the former first-overall pick has seemingly turned the corner again. He’s been more aggressive and has filled the stat sheet while playing solid defense. That’s why Markieff Morris and coach Jake Vaughn took some time to praise him for his improvement.

NBA News: Markieff Morris, Jake Vaughn Laud Ben Simmons

“[He’s] Healthy. He finally got his legs under him,” Morris told Nets Daily. “He was off for two years. Y’all wouldn’t give him a chance, y’all want to criticize him after every fu***** game. But when a guy don’t play two years — because obviously, y’all wouldn’t know because none of y’all played in the NBA, he had to get his body right. Contact every night, he’s playing 30-plus minutes; it takes time.”

“Ben, as you can see, is just feeling better physically, which is helping us,” added coach Vaughn. “For him to go coast-to-coast and get easy baskets for us, to push the pace for us to get open shots for everybody else, and they’re learning how to play with him and play with his pace.”

When healthy, no one can deny that Simmons has the potential to be the best and most versatile defender on Earth, not to mention an elite playmaker. So, if the Nets are for real this season, they’ll need the Aussie star to be the X-Factor they know he can be.

As LiAngelo Ball got his opportunity to play in the NBA alongside his brother LaMelo, find out which other brothers got to play at least a season together in the league.
The Ball Brothers have been hyped for a very long time. In fact, the “least” talented brother LaMelo was the one who turned out to be the best among them. Even so, with Lonzo injured, the oldest of the Ball brothers didn’t showed any dominance at all. Now, the ‘Ball‘ will be given to LiAngelo to play for the first time in the National Basketball Association, next season.

In the past week, LiAngelo Ball signed a 1-year deal with the Charlotte Hortnets to play for them with a salary of$1,017,781 dollars, according to the specialized site, Spotrac. So, after 4 years in the league, LaMelo will have his older brother with him.

In fact,LiAngelo already played for Michael Jordan’s franchise, but was cut right before the last season. Then, he went to the NBA G League’s draft andspent the last season as a Greensboro Swarm player. There, LiAngelo got the chance to show off his skills and earned his way back to the Hortnets.

NBA: Ball Brothers and similar cases who played together in the NBA

Now that the two of the three Ball Brothers will join forces to play for the Charlotte Hornets, its time to review other pair of brothers who did the same at least for one season in the National Basketball Association. This is tiny list is composed by brothers who played together in the same franchise, not only in the NBA.

For example, Marcus and Markieff Morris played together for two and half seasons in the Phoenix Suns, then, Marcus was traded away to the Detroit Pistons. Then, there’sJustin and Jrue Holiday, who managed to playtogether in thePhiladelphia76ers for one season.

Also, there’s the Lopez brothers Robin and Brook who played together in the Milwaukee Bucks for a season. Finally, the Antetokounmpo brothers who managed to win an NBA Championship with the Bucks in 2021, while theirbrother Thanasis won with the Los AngelesLakers.

Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic explained why he nearly got into a fight with Markieff Morris and apologized to the Miami Heat forward after watching the replay.
The Denver Nuggets found a true gem in Nikola Jokic. The reigning NBA MVP is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of player and the kind of leader that could turn that franchise around once and for all if given the right supporting cast.

But, as great as a player as he is and as humble and down to Earth as those who know him say he is, Jokic also has serious anger issues. He can snap in the blink of an eye and get himself thrown out of games for no reason.

That was again at a full display last night when the Nuggets hosted the Miami Heat, as he was ejected for aggressively shoving Markieff Morris on the back in retaliation to a strong foul from the forward.

“I don’t know who showed me the clip but [Morris’] head snapped back. I felt really bad,” he added.

Morris had to be stretched off the court and chances are that he’ll miss at least one game with a sore back. Needless to say, Miami Heat players didn’t care for Jokic’s actions and Jimmy Butler even told him to take that to the back and fight it off like gentlemen, sort of.

Jokic was rightfully ejected from the game but the Nuggets still managed to get the win. Even so, this kind of behavior is getting more usual from Jokic and he has to know better, as there’s no way the Nuggets can compete with him off the floor.
