Marc Stein reported earlier in the week that the Sacramento Kings wanted to know aboutThybulle’s availability. Later, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer added that the Golden State Warriors are also interested in him:

“Multiple NBA sources said the Golden State Warriors have had internal discussions about Thybulle and that they do like him as a defensive stopper. The Sacramento Kings are also reportedly monitoring his availability. A league source confirmed the interest, saying Kings coach Mike Brown is a fan of Thybulle, who would add a defensive presence to Sacramento’s starting lineup. The Kings (28-21), who surprisingly sit at third place in the Western Conference, are pondering upgrades for a postseason push after an NBA-record 16 straight seasons without a playoff appearance. The Kings’ and Warriors’ interest makes sense and is something to pay attention to.”

Thybulle’s future in Philadelphia has been uncertain ever since he failed to agree to a contract extension. However, Pompey notes that the team shouldn’t expect to get much in return:

“And even if they do attempt to trade him, the market might not bring back enough in his place. At the moment, multiple league sources said Thybulle’s lack of consistent production has lowered his trade value.”

Tucker, who has already explored free agency last year when he moved to Miami after winning the ring in Milwaukee, has been heavily linked with the Philadelphia 76ersin a reported three-year, $30 million deal.

But in order to afford that move, the Sixers would try and free up space. Matisse Thybulle has been subject of trade rumors over the last few weeks, and it seems that two teams want to acquire his services.

According to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, they are willing to part ways with Thybulle in order to land a veteran star like Tucker. Fortunately, the Dallas Mavericks and the Portland Trail Blazers could do them a favor by trading for the 25-year-old.

“In addition to James Harden sacrificing some annual dollars, it’s believed the Sixers are still exploring various trade options to free financial flexibility, as well as upgrade their roster with premium veteran talent. The two teams most often mentioned as Matisse Thybulle suitors have been Portland and Dallas,” Fischer wrote.

While Thybulle proved to be a solid option coming off the bench, his lackluster performance in the postseason let Philly down. If moving on from him is what it takes to afford an expensive but reliable veteran, the Sixers seem prepared to do so.

Now it’s time to turn the page and figure out how to help Joel Embiid challenge for the ring next year. Despite the critics,James Harden is expected to stay. But other players on the roster could take a different route.

According to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, Philadelphia isalready exploring trades for many players. While they have yet to find out the trade value of Tobias Harris and Danny Green, the Sixers reportedly look for a first-round pick in return for Thybulle.

“Philadelphia has continued to explore Tobias Harris trade packages. The Sixers have called a healthy portion of teams to gauge the value for each of Harris, Danny Green and Matisse Thybulle, sources said, and have called several teams specifically searching for a first-round pick in exchange for Thybulle as part of a three-team deal framework to land an impact veteran rotation player,” Fischer wrote.

Thybulle’s days in Philly seem to be numbered, but the team will not let him leave for peanuts.The Chicago Bulls were mentioned as a potential landing spot for the 25-year-old, but it remains to be seen which team will ultimately satisfy the Sixers’ demands.
