Novak Djokovic is set to play the 2025 Miami Open final against Czech rising star Jakub Mensik. However, the Serbian will take the court with a swollen right eye, sparking curiosity about what happened and concern for his well-being among fans on social media.

According to Argentinian journalist Danny Miche, Djokovic is suffering from conjunctivitis, an inflammation of the transparent membrane that lines the eyelid and eyeball. Ahead of the final, which was postponed due to rain, he was seen using eye drops.

Despite that, the 24-time Grand Slam champion also assisted Miami Open staff in drying the court after the storm. Djokovic is aiming for his 100th career title, which would bring him within three of Roger Federer’s 103 and nine of Jimmy Connors’ all-time record of 109.

When is Jannik Sinner set to come back to the tour?
