The Chicago Bulls are expected to make a big move in the offseason. They need to address their rim protection issues, so we present you with three potential trade targets.
The Chicago Bulls were one of the best teams in the first half of the NBA season. That DeMar DeRozan – Zach LaVine connection was All-Star worthy, and the additions of Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso gave them a much-needed defensive prowess.

But Grayson Allen’scheap shot on Caruso and Ball’s struggles to stay healthy eventually took a huge toll on Billy Donovan’s team. Their defense plummeted, and the need for an old-school rim protector became clearer by the day.

That’s a key area of improvement ahead of next season, and you better believe Arturas Karnisovas will be on the market for a defensive specialist. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the top 3 trade candidates the Bulls could pursue.

NBA Rumors: 3 Potential Trade Targets For The Chicago Bulls

3. Myles Turner

    Myles Turner – Getty Images

Myles Turner has been tied with trade rumors for the past three years or so. And even if the Indiana Pacers kept him over Domantas Sabonis, he could still be on the move as they look to gather draft capital and younger players.

While injury-prone, Turner is one of the best shot-blockers in the league and one of the few big men who can efficiently guard the perimeter as well. He’s got some range on his offensive game, and maybe all he needs to beak out is a change of scenery.

2. Mitchell Robinson

    Mitchell Robinson- Getty Images

According to most reports, Mitchell Robinson is all but done with the New York Knicks. He’s looking forward to leaving the team and havinga bigger role somewhere else, as he feels like he could be more of an offensive contributor.

Same with Turner, Robinson’s biggest issue has been his health. Also, he tends to get into foul trouble more often than not. But he’s still one of the best interior defenders in the league and could be under team control at a reasonable price via sign-and-trade.

1. Rudy Gobert

    Rudy Gobert- Getty Images

Either Donovan Mitchell or Rudy Gobert will leave the Utah Jazz, maybe even both. They’ve both outgrown the organization, and they both feel like they’re not valued enough and should take their talents elsewhere.

Gobert is a perennial Defensive Player of the Year candidateand the best rim protector in the league. He’s a liability in the perimeter, but the Bulls have enough stoppers in the backcourt to make up for that. He’ll be expensive, but he’s what they need to be a legit contender.

The Dallas Mavericks fought hard and made it to the Western Conference Finals, but it wasn't enough. Here, we talk about three free agents they should sign in the offseason.
The Dallas Mavericks turned the season around after the Kristaps Porzingis trade. The supporting cast helped Luka Doncic be the best version of himself yet, but there were still some gaps on their roster.

Jason Kidd proved the doubters wrong. The Mavs’ defense was elite for most of the season, and they even made it to the Western Conference Finals despite not having a legit second star on their team.

Needless to say, Doncic can’t win on his own, as great as he is. No one can. With that in mind, let’s take a look at three free agents the Mavs should consider signing this summer to come back stronger next season.

NBA Rumors: 3 Free Agents Dallas Mavericks Should Sign To Help Luka Doncic

3. Victor Oladipo

    Victor Oladipo – Getty Images

Victor Oladipo has barely seen the floor despite being healthy since mid-season. It’s either a matter of fit or personal preference, but it doesn’t seem like Erik Spoelstra is ever going to be willing to give him a long leash.

With his time with the Miami Heat all but over, Oladipo should look to sign a short-term deal to drive his market value up again. He’s been quite efficient in limited minutes, can play on and off the ball, startor come off the bench, and plays solid defense.

2. Dennis Schroder

    Dennis Schroder- Getty Images

Jalen Brunson is going to demand a big payday in the summer, and the Mavs may have no choice but to let him go. Spencer Dinwiddie could shift to the starting unit, but they’d still have a glaring hole at the backup PG position.

That’s where Dennis Schroder could come in handily. He’d provide them a scoring punch off the bench and solid playmaking. Moreover, he could even take Dinwiddie’s starting job if he plays well enough, so what more incentive does he need?

1. Mitchell Robinson

    Mitchell Robinson- Getty Images

Brunson has been linked with a move to the New York Knicks, and Mitchell Robinson is reportedly on his way out of The Big Apple. So, both teams could work out a sign-and-trade to sendthe big man to Dallas.

When healthy, Robinson is one of the best rim protectors in the league, and his offense has also improved over the years. He needs to avoid foul trouble and injuries will always be a risk with him, but the Mavs are craving an interior presence, and he’d come at a fair price.
