https://bolavip.com/en/nba/josh-hart-voices-frustration-over-nba-finals-ticket-prices

Josh Hart is well aware that the vast majority of basketball fans simply do not have the financial means to afford NBA Finals tickets at the astronomical prices they are fetching right now.
Josh Hart isn’t just focused on matching up against the San Antonio Spurs; he is also acutely aware that many die-hard New York Knicks fans are completely priced out of attending the NBA Finals. It’s a reality that brings a lot of frustration to the veteran guard.

With the Knicks fighting for a championship, Hart didn’t hold back when discussing the secondary ticket market. “I wish the ticket prices weren’t as crazy as they are,“ Hart said. “A lot of people who have been waiting for this moment for a very long time unfortunately aren’t able to get into the building. $7K, $8K is ridiculous.”

While his comments resonate deeply with the fanbase, the staggering prices haven’t stopped the arenas from packing out. The first two games of the series in San Antonio were completely sold out, drawing raucous crowds of 18,835 for Game 1 and 19,014 for Game 2.

What is the capacity of Madison Square Garden?

For basketball, Madison Square Garden features an official capacity of 19,812. It is a mathematical certainty that the building will be filled to the brim. Though Hart’s concerns about the average fan are entirely valid, the Knicks will have no shortage of loud, high-energy support on their home floor.

"I wish the ticket prices weren't as crazy as they are. A lot of people who have been waiting for this moment for a very long time unfortunately aren't able to get into the building. $7K, $8K is ridiculous."

Josh Hart on the ticket prices for Game 3 of the NBA Finals at MSG: pic.twitter.com/2BuW1j3SWj
— SNY Knicks (@sny_knicks) June 7, 2026

According to a striking report from The Kobeissi Letter alongside leading ticket marketplaces, NBA Finals Game 3 will be expensive. The absolute cheapest get-in price has soared to a staggering $10,622 per seat. To be clear, that five-figure sum won’t get you anywhere near the hardwood or the VIP courtside rows.

This isn’t the first time the biggest stage in basketball has commanded astronomical sums, but New York hits a bit different. In a city where many residents can barely afford rent, dropping thousands of dollars on a few hours of basketball simply isn’t feasible for the average fan.

Victor Wembanyama was candid on what cost the San Antonio Spurs Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the New York Knicks.
The San Antonio Spurs suffered a hurtful defeat 105-104 to the New York Knicks in Game 2 of the NBA Finals. Now on a 2-game skid, Victor Wembanyama detailed where his team needs to be better to not lose again.

During Game 2’s postgame press conference, Wembanyama detailed that the team needs to be better, especially late in the game. He also looked in the mirror and critiqued himself.

“I think we need to put ourselves in better conditions. We’re digging ourselves a hole. That’s been the theme so far,” Wembanyama said, specifically talking about the three last possessions of Game 2 of the NBA Finals. He then added, “I need to have more poise, more control over the game.”

Wembanyama made key mistake to give Knicks the lead late in the fourth quarter

With less than 15 seconds to play, Wembanyama grabbed a rebound after a missed Jalen Brunson shot. However, he then passed the ball to Stephon Castle, who wasn’t even looking. The pass hit Castle’s back, Brunson recovered it, and then Wembanyama himself fouled Brunson gifting him free throws, which ended up being the difference on the final scoreboard.

A massive turnover by the Spurs with the game on the line 😳 pic.twitter.com/deToen4bnE
— Sportsnet (@Sportsnet) June 6, 2026

Then, Wemby had the chance to win it all, but his shot hit the rim and went out. It was just an unfortunate string of plays at the worst-possible moment for the Spurs star. Now, the Spurs are in deep waters.

Wembanyama’s performance vs Knicks was still stellar

While the last stretch of the game wasn’t his best level of play, the fact is Wembanyama was the reason the Spurs were still in the game at that point of the matchup. Wembanyama had 29 points, nine rebounds, two steals, and four blocks in Game 2 against the Knicks.

The New York Knicks won Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs and history backs them to win it all.
The New York Knicks were able to hold off a late run by the San Antonio Spurs and won Game 2 of the NBA Finals. With a definite advantage and the next two games being at Madison Square Garden, history indicates they are in prime position to get the all-elusive championship.

The NBA Finals is played in a best-of-seven series format. Teams that win the first two games have a 31-5 record, winning an 86.1% of the time. This is a massive precedent to state the Knicks are in a top-tier spot headed to the next two games at MSG.

Even better for the Knicks, no team in NBA Finals history has ever come back from an 0-2 deficit after losing the first two games at home. That’s the scenario the Spurs are facing right now. If they come back, it will literally be a history-changing moment.

Which teams came back from an 0-2 NBA Finals deficit?

The five historic teams that were able to come back are spread throughout decades. However, three of them are in the 21st century. The first to made it were the Boston Celtics, that trailed the Los Angeles Lakers. In 1977, the Portland Trail Blazers trailed the Philadelphia 76ers but managed to come back.

Kyrie Irving Game 7 shot lives forever. https://t.co/MmYTReLZvf pic.twitter.com/ur0SuJkiej
— Hoop Central (@TheHoopCentral) October 31, 2016

In 2006, the Miami Heat came back to beat the Dallas Mavericks. Then, in 2016 the Cleveland Cavaliers led by LeBron James did it against the 73-9 Golden State Warriors. Last but not least, the Milwaukee Bucks came back after losing the first two games vs. the Phoenix Suns in 2021.

Knicks are quite literally undefeated in these NBA Playoffs

The Knicks have won 13 games in a row during the 2026 NBA Playoffs. Game 2 against the Spurs was a narrow 105-104 win, but it doesn’t matter, they’ll take it. This is the second-longest single-postseason winning streak in NBA history. The 2016-2017 Warriors managed to win 15 straight games.

This Knicks’ streak also includes eight straight road wins. This puts them as the best-ever road-game winning streak in the NBA playoffs, tied with the 2001 Lakers, led by Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant.

Mike Brown knows that the NBA Finals are very close to starting and the situation with Mitchell Robinson must be handled with great care, and with the most recent update, it is still not clear whether he will be able to play or not in Game 1.
Mike Brown gave a highly ambiguous update regarding Mitchell Robinson’s physical condition as the New York Knicks gear up for a historic showdown in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. The head coach addressed the media to discuss the defensive center’s ongoing recovery. Brown confirmed his official medical status remains completely up in the air.

The latest status report was relayed on X by Stefan Bondy of The New York Post. “Mike Brown said Mitchell Robinson did some individual work at practice today,“ the insider reported. The coaching staff is monitoring his movements closely, but they are entirely dependent on the medical group’s final clearance before making a decision.

Bondy further detailed the physical precautions the center is taking on the practice floor. “Robinson is wearing something on his hand but doesn’t know what specifically,” leaving everyone guessing about the brace. The head coach ultimately concluded the media session by admitting he “has no update on potential availability for Game 1.”

Can the Knicks survive the NBA Finals without Robinson?

Robinson put together a highly reliable campaign this year, anchoring the secondary unit with averages of 5.7 points and 8.8 rebounds during regular-season games. He stepped up even more during the 2026 NBA postseason, contributing 5.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game while shooting an incredibly efficient 73.7 percent from the field.

Mike Brown says that Michell Robinson did some "individual stuff" with "something" on his hand at practice today but there is no update on his status for Game 1

Brown also adds that the medical staff needs to sign off before he can "go out there" pic.twitter.com/jZunM3JaMN
— SNY Knicks (@sny_knicks) May 31, 2026

Sports analyst Sam Humphreys of The Sports Animal pointed out that the Knicks will suffer immensely inside the paint if Robinson remains sidelined. He noted that while the Knicks successfully troubled Victor Wembanyama during the NBA Cup final, a completely vacant interior means the French star will easily dominate the boards.

Humphreys concluded that a Robinson absence forces tremendous pressure onto perimeter stars like Landry Shamet and Mikal Bridges to stay hot from three-point range. Meanwhile, dynamic defenders like OG Anunoby and Josh Hart will be tasked with locking down Stephon Castle to keep the team competitive.

It was Mitchell Robinson himself who revealed that he is feeling better, but the big question remains whether he will be able to help the New York Knicks in what will be a historic NBA Finals for the team.
Mitchell Robinson of the New York Knicks provided an encouraging update on his recovery as the team prepares for the NBA Finals. The veteran center recently posted on Facebook, “I feel better now,” offering hope that he could return sooner than expected after undergoing hand surgery.

According to Stefan Bondy of the New York Post, there is growing optimism that Robinson could be available when the Finals begin. Bondy reported on X: “Mitchell Robinson’s injury identified: He suffered a fracture of his 5th metacarpal, league sources told The Post. Robinson underwent surgery and hope is he plays Game 1 of the Finals.”

Before the injury, Robinson remained an important part of New York’s frontcourt rotation this season. His rebounding, rim protection, and physical presence in the paint gave the Knicks valuable minutes on both ends of the floor, helping them reach their first NBA Finals appearance in decades.

Robinson sends message to Knicks fans

While recovering, Robinson also took time to thank supporters who have stood by him throughout the process. In a recent post on Instagram, he wrote, “I can’t thank you guys enough for the love and support most of you bring especially at a time like this in my life. It makes everything I’m fighting for 100x easier to deal with.”

The Knicks big man also addressed critics directly, showing the emotion that has accompanied his recovery. Robinson added, “The ones that want to see me down and hurt all I gotta say for you is f—- you,” making it clear he remains motivated to return stronger.

He concluded his message by expressing disappointment with some people who have not supported him during difficult moments, writing, “The ones that say they love and care about me but can’t be there for me when I need them but I’m always there when they need me god will get you.” If Robinson is able to return for Game 1, the Knicks would enter the Finals with a much more complete roster.

It's been nearly a decade since NBA fans witnessed the ultimate showdown: a Game 7 in the Finals. As the Pacers and Thunder gear up for a dramatic conclusion to the 2025 series, we look back at the last time basketball's biggest prize came down to one unforgettable night.
As the 2025 NBA Finals between the Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder prepare to culminate in a winner-take-all Game 7, fans and analysts alike are reflecting on just how rare and significant this kind of moment is in the league’s modern history.

It’s been nearly a decade since the last time basketball’s biggest stage saw a Game 7, a dramatic gap for a league built on parity, drama, and high-stakes matchups.

This will be just the sixth Game 7 in over three decades, a rarity that only adds to the magnitude of Sunday’s contest in Oklahoma City. So, when was the last time the NBA delivered the ultimate showdown? The answer will bring great memories that include LeBron James and Stephen Curry.

When was the last Game 7 in NBA Finals history?

The most recent Game 7 in the NBA Finals took place on June 19, 2016, when the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors squared off in a historic conclusion to an unforgettable series.

The Warriors, led by the “Splash Brothers” Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, had entered the playoffs after posting a record-breaking 73–9 regular season. They took a commanding 3–1 series lead and appeared poised to cap off a historic year.

The 2025 NBA Finals are reaching their thrilling climax with a winner-takes-all Game 7 between the Pacers and Thunder. Oddsmakers are buzzing as the underdog Pacers look to complete one of the biggest upsets in Finals history on the Thunder's home court.
The 2025 NBA Finals have been a spectacle. The Indiana Pacers and the Oklahoma City Thunder have taken thousands of fans on a rollercoaster of emotions that will come to an end this Sunday with the two best words in sports: Game 7.

The Pacers have shown tremendous heart, playing as big underdogs in almost every game of the series. Still, with their backs against the wall and facing a 3-2 deficit, they defended their home court at Gainbridge Fieldhouse with a dominant 108-91 victory.

Now, the big question in the NBA is whether the performance of Pascal Siakam and Tyrese Haliburton will shift the odds for that final battle. The odds have already been released and, once again, there’s a major surprise.

What are the odds for Pacers vs Thunder in Game 7 of NBA Finals?

The Oklahoma City Thunder are 7.5-point favorites over the Indiana Pacers heading into Game 7, which will take place this Sunday at Paycom Center. Once again, Indiana enters as one of the biggest underdogs in NBA Finals history for a winner-take-all showdown.

The moneyline has the Thunder at -300, showing full confidence in their home-court advantage, while the Pacers are currently listed at +250. Again, that would be a massive upset.

What is the over/under for Game 7 of NBA Finals 2025?

The over/under for Game 7 between the Indiana Pacers and the Oklahoma City Thunder is set at 215.5 points, making it the highest projected total for a Game 7 in NBA Finals recent history.

With Tyrese Haliburton dealing with a calf issue, Stephen A. Smith seized the moment to go after the Pacers guard in a tone many considered unusually harsh and out of line.
Stephen A. Smith didn’t hold back when reacting to news that Tyrese Haliburton is dealing with calf tightness — a concern that could impact his performance for the Pacers in the NBA Finals moving forward.

“[Tyrese] Haliburton has looked awful and I’m glad he’s injured,” Smith said. “I’m not saying I’m glad he’s injured, but I’m glad we got that as a rational.” That was part of the ESPN analyst’s blunt message directed at the Pacers guard, who struggled to find any rhythm in the first half.

Smith didn’t stop there: “I’m not trying to be mean or whatever, just be factual. He looks bad, he was not active, he was not aggressive. He’s not helping them.” Despite the harsh criticism, Haliburton did return to the game — at that point scoreless with 0 points on 0-for-5 shooting.

Disappointing Game 5

Things only got worse in Game 5. Haliburton finished with just 4 points in a game of major importance for Indiana. While he did improve on the glass with 7 rebounds — better than the 2 and 3 boards he posted in Games 4 and 2 — his shooting completely collapsed. He finished with 0% from the field and 0% from beyond the arc in the NBA Finals loss to OKC.

Stephen A: "Haliburton has looked awful and I'm glad he's injured" pic.twitter.com/CIdTcYbtU5
— Oh No He Didn't (@ohnohedidnt24) June 17, 2025

Haliburton’s Injury Isn’t New

It’s worth noting that concerns about Tyrese Haliburton’s health aren’t new. Back on June 10, reports surfaced that he was wearing kinesiology tape — something that caught the attention of Pacers fans. Although nothing had been officially said about a calf issue at the time, the tape was clearly applied to that area.

In Game 4, Haliburton scored 18 points but showed a noticeable drop in other areas — grabbing just 2 rebounds and shooting a rough 14.3% from three-point range. It’s unclear whether that dip in performance was connected to an underlying injury.

He was exposed by a fan, but Stephen A. Smith tried to explain why he was playing Solitaire on his phone during Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
Stephen A. Smith was caught playing Solitaire on his phone during Game 4 of the NBA Finals. A photo of the ESPN analyst quickly went viral on X after a fan claimed to have seen him sitting and playing the game during the matchup between the Pacers and Thunder.

In an attempt to clarify the situation, Smith posted on X: “Yep! That’s me. Who would’ve thought… I can multi-task. Especially during TIMEOUTS! Hope y’all are enjoying the NBA Finals.” However, his post was flagged with a context note by users suggesting he was lying.

The person who took the photo insists there was no timeout at the time, and another user even posted a video showing Smith playing Solitaire while the game was still underway, with players actively competing on the court.

Smith tried to defend himself

Along with his message on X, Smith also posted a screenshot showing the Solitaire game on his phone with a small window at the top displaying a live stream of NBA Finals Game 4. Still, the backlash was swift.

Kevin Durant joins the criticism

Kevin Durant also chimed in. On his personal Instagram Stories, Durant reposted the viral photo of Smith playing Solitaire and added a short message: “Cmon Steve.” No other players have responded publicly as of yet.

The NBA Finals are where legends are made, and only a rare few have reached that stage countless times. From dynastic Celtics to modern superstars, the Finals have long been a proving ground for greatness — and for winners.

Across decades, some players have redefined what it means to chase championships, appearing on the biggest stage again and again. Whether through resilience or pure talent, these icons carved their names into NBA lore.

Their journeys tell a story of determination, sacrifice and glory, shaping the narrative of the league itself. As the Finals spotlight shone brightest, these all-time greats kept finding their way back, season after season.

Bill Russell – 12 appearances

NBA great Bill Russell gets introduced to the crowd during the NBA Europe Live Tour presented by EA Sports on October 11, 2006. (Source: Mansoor Ahmed/Getty Images)

Bill Russell holds the all-time record for NBA Finals appearances with 12 trips to the championship round, all with the Boston Celtics. His dominance in the 1950s and 1960s helped define the NBA’s early years, and he secured an astonishing 11 championships in those 12 appearances — a record that remains untouchable.

He was known for his incredible defensive presence, shot-blocking, and leadership, which were the backbone of Boston’s dynasty. Beyond the stats, his legacy goes far deeper.

He was a pioneer for African American athletes and a civil rights advocate, using his platform to speak out against racism during a turbulent era in American history. Even today, his influence is felt, and the NBA Finals MVP trophy is named in his honor.

Sam Jones – 11 appearances

Celtics legend Sam Jones (Source: @BleacherReport)

Sam Jones, often called “Mr. Clutch”, appeared in 11 NBA Finals, all with the Celtics alongside Bill Russell. Known for his deadly bank shot and ability to deliver in crucial moments, he was one of Boston’s most reliable scorers.

With 10 championships under his belt, he ranks second only to Russell in rings won, making him a key figure in one of the greatest dynasties in sports history. Despite not being as famous as some of his teammates, his impact was enormous.

His cool demeanor and ability to rise to the occasion in critical games made him a player coaches and teammates trusted. Without his scoring prowess, many of those Celtics championships would not have been possible.

LeBron James – 10 appearances

LeBron James #23 of the Los Angeles Lakers reacts during the fourth quarter against the Miami Heat in Game Six of the 2020 NBA Finals. (Source: Douglas P. DeFelice/Getty Images)

LeBron James has reached the NBA Finals 10 times over a career spanning two decades, playing for the Cavaliers, Heat and Lakers. His Finals journey is marked by resilience and adaptability, facing off against dynasties like the Spurs and Warriors.

With 4 championships so far, his Finals record is sometimes debated, but few deny his greatness and consistent ability to carry teams to the biggest stage. His legacy is not just about wins and losses — it’s about longevity, versatility, and rewriting what’s possible for a basketball player.

Whether leading massive comebacks, like the 2016 Finals against Golden State, or winning a title in the bubble with the Lakers, he has cemented his place among the greatest ever.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar – 10 appearances

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar #33 of the Los Angeles Lakers rests during an NBA game at the Great Western Forum in 1987.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar made 10 Finals appearances with the Bucks and Lakers, winning 6 championships and establishing himself as one of the most dominant centers in history. Famous for his skyhook shot, he was a model of consistency and excellence, performing at a high level well into his late 30s.

His Finals runs spanned nearly two decades, a testament to his conditioning and skill. Off the court, he was a thoughtful and outspoken athlete, engaging in social and political issues and becoming an intellectual figure in sports.

His impact on the game is felt both through his records — including being the NBA’s all-time leading scorer for nearly 40 years — and his contributions to culture and society.

Magic Johnson – 9 appearances

Magic Johnson #32 of the Los Angeles Lakers stands during warm ups before an NBA game at the Great Western Forum in 1987.
Magic Johnson’s nine NBA Finals appearances all came with the Lakers during the 1980s, where he led the “Showtime” era to five championships. Known for his dazzling passing, infectious charisma and clutch performances, he transformed the point guard position and became one of the most marketable stars in NBA history. His Finals battles against Larry Bird’s Celtics are legendary.

His impact extended beyond the court. His public announcement of his HIV diagnosis in 1991 changed the conversation around the disease, and his business ventures after retirement made him a global figure. His Finals performances and leadership made him a cornerstone of NBA history.

Jerry West – 9 appearances

Jerry West (Source: @OmarJimenez)

Jerry West, famously nicknamed “Mr. Clutch,” reached the NBA Finals nine times with the Lakers but won only one championship in 1972. Despite the tough Finals losses, often to the Celtics, he remains one of the most respected players in league history.

Remarkably, he’s the only player to win Finals MVP (1969) while playing on the losing team. His competitive fire, leadership, and scoring ability defined his era.

After his playing career, he became one of the most successful executives in NBA history, helping to build Lakers dynasties in the 1980s and early 2000s. His silhouette is literally the NBA logo, a testament to his lasting influence.

Tom Heinsohn – 9 appearances

Tom Heinsohn (Source: @podoffame)

Tom Heinsohn reached the NBA Finals nine times with the Celtics, winning eight championships during Boston’s golden era. As a power forward, he brought toughness, scoring, and rebounding, making him an essential piece of the team’s dynasty. After his playing days, he continued to influence the team as a coach and longtime broadcaster.

His love for the Celtics spanned over six decades, making him one of the most beloved figures in franchise history. His passion for the game and his team’s success helped set the tone for generations of Celtics players and fans alike.

Michael Cooper – 8 appearances

Michael Cooper #21 of the Los Angeles Lakers passes the ball during an NBA game at the Great Western Forum in 1987. (Source: Stephen Dunn/Getty Images)

Michael Cooper appeared in eight NBA Finals with the Lakers, serving as a defensive anchor and utility player during the “Showtime” era. Renowned for his perimeter defense, he was often tasked with guarding the opposing team’s best scorer, making crucial stops in key moments.

His contributions helped the Lakers win five championships in the 1980s. His role on the Lakers was invaluable even though his stats didn’t always jump off the page.

His versatility and ability to impact games without needing the ball in his hands made him the ultimate teammate and one of the most respected role players in NBA history.

Dennis Rodman – 8 appearances

Guard Dennis Rodman #91 of the Chicago Bulls stands on the court at the United Center in 1995.
Dennis Rodman reached eight NBA Finals with the Pistons, Bulls and Spurs, winning five championships. Known as one of the greatest rebounders and defenders ever, his relentless hustle and ability to get inside opponents’ heads were his trademarks. His Finals battles, especially during the Bulls’ second three-peat, cemented his legacy as a key piece of championship teams.

Off the court, he became a pop culture icon, known for his eccentric personality, tattoos, piercings, and tabloid headlines. But on the floor, he was a tireless competitor and an irreplaceable glue guy on some of the best teams ever assembled.

Frank Ramsey – 8 appearances

Frank Ramsey (Source: @NBAHistory)

Frank Ramsey played in eight NBA Finals with the Celtics, winning seven championships. Often called the NBA’s first “sixth man”, he came off the bench to provide scoring punch and versatility, redefining the value of a reserve player. His selflessness and adaptability were key to Boston’s incredible run of success.

His role set a precedent for future generations, proving that being a bench player didn’t mean being any less important. His contributions were crucial to the Celtics’ dynasty, and he remains a celebrated figure in the team’s history.

What teams have the most NBA championships?

Certain franchises have managed to secure their place in the pantheon of greatness by winning multiple championships. Among these, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics stand head and shoulders above the rest.

Jayson Tatum #0 of the Boston Celtics reacts after a play during the fourth quarter in Game Two of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Indiana Pacers on May 23, 2024. (Source: Maddie Meyer/Getty Images)

With 17 championships each, these two teams are tied for the most titles in NBA history. The Lakers, known for their iconic players such as Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, have dominated several eras.

From the Showtime Lakers of the 1980s to the Kobe-Shaq dynasty in the early 2000s and more recently, their 2020 triumph with LeBron James, the Lakers have constantly redefined what it means to be a championship contender.

Boston also boast 17 titles, with their most dominant period occurring in the 1950s and 1960s. Under the leadership of coach Red Auerbach and with Bill Russell anchoring their defense, they won 11 championships in 13 years, a feat unmatched in NBA history.

Beyond the Celtics and Lakers, other teams with a rich history of success include the Chicago Bulls, with 6 championships, and the Golden State Warriors, who have claimed 7 titles, according to the ESPN and Basketball Reference.

What teams never won an NBA championship?

While the NBA has celebrated countless championship triumphs, several franchises are still chasing their first title. Some have come heartbreakingly close, while others have struggled to even reach the Finals…

Minnesota Timberwolves: Despite the brilliance of Kevin Garnett in the early 2000s, they have never reached the NBA Finals. Their best season came in 2004 when they reached the Western Conference Finals, falling to the Los Angeles Lakers. In recent years, the team has shown promise with rising stars like Anthony Edwards, but a championship remains out of reach.

Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Kyrie Irving #11 of the Dallas Mavericks look on during the first quarter in Game One of the Western Conference Finals in 2024. (Source: David Berding/Getty Images)

Phoenix Suns: The Suns have been one of the most competitive and well-supported franchises without a ring. They reached the NBA Finals three times: in 1976, 1993, and most recently in 2021. Despite strong rosters featuring stars like Charles Barkley, Steve Nash and Devin Booker, they fell short each time, most recently losing to the Milwaukee Bucks in six games.

Utah Jazz: Known for the iconic duo of John Stockton and Karl Malone, they made back-to-back Finals appearances in 1997 and 1998. Unfortunately, both runs ended in defeat to Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls. Since then, the team have remained competitive but have not broken through to a championship.

Indiana Pacers: A powerhouse in the ABA before joining the NBA, they have yet to win an NBA title. Their lone NBA Finals appearance came in 2000, where they lost to the Lakers led by Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant. Indiana has often been a playoff fixture, but the championship has remained elusive.

Orlando Magic: They have made two Finals appearances—in 1995, led by Shaquille O’Neal and Penny Hardaway, and in 2009, with Dwight Howard anchoring the team. Both times, they fell short: first to the Houston Rockets and then to the Lakers. The team has been rebuilding in recent years, searching for the next superstar to lead them back to the top.

Brooklyn Nets: Formerly the New Jersey Nets, the franchise reached the Finals in 2002 and 2003 but lost to the Lakers and the Spurs, respectively. In recent years, despite assembling superstar lineups with Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden, they have fallen short of even reaching the Finals.
