Burrow had another sensational season with the Cincinnati Bengals. The 2021 AFC Champions returned to the same stage that saw them gain a ticket to the main stage one year ago, although on this occasion they were in the loosing end of a thriller.

His level of play was nothing short of excellent. They ended the regular season with eight wins in a row, then defeated the Baltimore Ravens at home and the Buffalo Bills on the road before losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. Why isn’t Joe Burrow in the 2023 Pro Bowl?

The QB names that are representing the AFC certainly don’t help the idea that the best players in the league are in the Pro Bowl. Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen and Burrow were the three quarterbacks chosen initially, but they aren’t there. Their absences were followed by the ones of their three replacements as well.

All of Justin Herbert, Tua Tagovailoa and Lamar Jackson weren’t able to be there for injuries. Burrow is not in the 2023 Pro Bowl Games after opting out of it. The reason is not totally clear yet. Some aim to a hand issue he had, although there is the belief that he just preferred not to participate. Raiders’ Derek Carr was selected to replace him, with Trevor Lawrence and Tyler Huntley completing the position.

Now that the NFL Playoffs are over it’s time for the equivalent of the all-star game of the NBA. The action in this revamped event began on Thursday with plenty of activities, all praised on social media. From dodgeball to water-balloon passes to linemen catching punts, the stars of the league had a ton of fun.

Allen was not in the list of players that participated in this competition. The quarterback is instead playing in the famous AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf tournament, where Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Rodgers is also making headlines. Although that raised the question of why he isn’t in Las Vegas.

Why is Josh Allen not participating in the 2023 Pro Bowl?

The Pro Bowl rosters always have modifications to the original selections. Some players aren’t there because they are in the Super Bowl, while others decline the invitation for injuries. This year was particularly noticeable since the AFC has a QB lineup that includes Tyler Huntley. There are six other star signal-callers not playing for different reasons.

Allen is not in the 2023 Pro Bowl Games due to an injury. The quarterback cited that as to why he isn’t in Las Vegas with his other teammates. The problem for the Ravens was that Jackson missed the last five games of the regular season. He was also out in their defeat against the Cincinnati Bengals in the wild card round. His absence made it possible for Huntley to have opportunities as the QB.

Why was Tyler Huntley selected to the Pro Bowl Games?

What usually happens is that a lot of starters have to be replaced because their teams got to the Super Bowl. That’s something frequent, but this time the rush of injuries made the list of quarterbacks less than impressive.

Huntley has been named to the Pro Bowl replacing Josh Allen. The Buffalo Bills star stepped down to rest the right elbow after the injury suffered vs the New York Jets. That was surprising since Huntley wasn’t that good for the Ravens in the few games he played.

He onlythrewfor two touchdowns in his six matches including five starts in the 2022 season. The other injuries are the reason why he will be in Las Vegas taking into account that Justin Herbert, Tua Tagovailoa and Jackson were the original substitutes. Instead, it’s going to be Trevor Lawrence, Derek Carr and Huntley.

It has been a great season in the record for the Cowboys being at 10-4, although lately those performances started to be inconsistent. After the 40-3 win over the Minnesota Vikings on week 11, the team hasn’t been able to stay with that dominance.

That is why there are some absences from the squad in this event. For example, quarterback Dak Prescott was not included in it. Running back Ezekiel Elliott wasn’t there either. There were still only behind the eight that the Philadelphia Eagles had.

Which Dallas Cowboys players will be in the 2023 Pro Bowl Games?

Everything will take place in Las Vegas with the Allegiant Stadium as the main host. It is going to be a series of challenges where the stars will still be able to show their talent and have fun without much risk of injuries. But they will clash with each other particularly in three Flag Football games that were added to define the winner.

But the main change was the addition of Flag Football. A few weeks ago it was revealed that the NFC vs AFC was going to have legendary coaches. The AFC will be coached by Peyton Manning while the NFC is going to be led by his brother Eli. Although new details were released.

How will the 2023 Pro Bowl Games work?

Being an AFC vs NFC dispute is something that wasn’t modified, but now they will both have to score points throughout the week. It all begins on Tuesday, February 2nd and finishes on that Sunday 5th, when most of the action will happen. There will be five skill competitions that give three points each to the winner and two flag-football-games that give six each, according to Tyler Conway of the Bleacher Report.

The Conference that ends up with the win will be decided after a third Flag Football game. There will be 27 players representing each side that will play against each other in a 7-on-7 match. Some details the NFL explained were that it’s going to be played in a 50-yard field with 10-yard endzones, and each game will last 20 minutes.

Every drive will start at the own 5-yard line, with a 25-second play clock that will stop in the two minutes mark of each half. A touchdown will of course count for six points, although they added a change after scoring. It can be a one-point try from the 3-yard line or go for two from the 10. The score will be added to the previous events to determine the winner.
