Netflix has once again updated its ranking of the most-watched movies worldwide, and this week, a foreign production that has already enjoyed success among the citizens of Poland has joined the list. Heaven in Hell not only tells an exciting and passionate love story but also one of betrayal.

It is a movie created by the producers of the 365 Days franchise, and the story that recently arrived on the streaming giant attempts to bring back the erotic and sensual to the screen. The plot attempts to break down age and sexiness prejudices in a rather unique way.

Tomasz Mandes (The End) is the director of the film, which has a duration of two hours. He also teamed up to adapt the screenplay with Mojca Tirs (The Travelling Dog). Both were responsible for the high-voltage scenes in the project, which is intended to leave viewers with their emotions running high.

Heaven in Hell ranked No. 9 on Netflix worldwide

Given that it’s from the creators of the 365 Days trilogy, it was expected that Heaven in Hell would feature many scenes not suitable for all audiences. This intense movie of romance and drama has earned a place among the favorites of Netflix users, ranking as the ninth most-watched film on the platform worldwide.

According to Flix Patrol, the specialized website for metrics and streaming services, the title made its debut on the service a few months ago, but it has once again become a trending topic, thanks to fans of the genre. The plot is not only filled with unexpected twists but some will leave you in awe.

During the two hours of the film, we learn the story of Mark, who after dating Olga, ends up developing feelings for her daughter, even having an affair behind her mother’s back. The relationship goes very well until she catches them in the bedroom.

The main actor, Simone Susinna, spoke with the Mexican magazine Crónica about the project, his relationship with the director and his character. There, he confessed that he hopes the film helps break down age and eroticism prejudices.

He said, “We seek to highlight that it doesn’t matter as long as there is that positive energy between both, that age is just a number, and everyone has the right to fall in love with whomever they want, regardless of that gap”.

Who makes up the cast of Heaven in Hell?

The cast is made up of some well-known non-American stars, such as Simone Susinna, who plays the main character. The actor has already worked with the director since he also appeared in the sequel and the final part of 365 Days, in the role of Nacho.

In addition to the 29-year-old Italian actor, the movie starred figures such as Magdalena Boczarska in the role of Olga, Katarzyna Sawczuk as Maja, Elzbieta Jarosik as Hanna, Sebastian Fabijanski as Kamil, Katarzyna Kwiatkowska as Beata and Janusz Chabior as Ivo, among others.

What criticism has Heaven in Hell received from viewers?

The reviews for Heaven in Hell were not at all good, at least in the United States. Even though it cannot be viewed on Netflix in America, since it’s not available on any platform, the audience have not hesitated to leave their comments about the story, which is now trending in several other countries.

Eric White, a journalist from the Crast website, published in February of this year what he thought of the Polish film, and he made it clear that he was not a fan by any means. As he continued with his opinion article, he said, “Someone decided to make the first version of the script, from the first shots. I assume“.

He then concluded with some rather strong statements, commenting, “In fact, it’s easier to tell what the film is not about than what it is. Because there are, in general, shallow as a puddle romance with artificially pumped conflict, a deluge of extremely toxic family relationships, and sudden changes in the narrative track”.

Despite the negative opinions from viewers, there were very few who approved of it and liked the plot. Two registered users on IMDb gave it a rating of 6 out of 10, praising the performances of the main actors above all else. While on Rotten Tomatoes, it has not received any ratings yet.

In the world of Prime Video, romantic dramas are currently dominating the ranking of the most-watched movies, and one of them was starred by Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin.

It’s a creation of Castille Landon (Fear of Rain, Perfect Addiction and Apple of My Eye) , who was responsible for directing the project and also for adapting the screenplay, along with the author of the books, Anna Todd.

After Everything is the latest installment in the franchise, which has a strong fan base and viewership. It’s one of the few in the series to receive an R rating, as the first one was intended for ages 12 and up.

After Everything ranked No. 10 on Prime Video worldwide

After Everything is the conclusion of the franchise developed by Anna Todd on Prime Video. It has not only garnered a large fan base but is also now one of the most-watched movies on the platform worldwide.

Flix Patrol, the site specializing in streaming metrics and services, announced a few days ago that the title has managed to secure a spot within the Top 10. Although its ranking has shifted, it currently holds the number 10 position.

Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin are the lead actors, portraying the characters Tessa and Hardin. Both of them were joined by many other stars, and two of the new additions were Mimi Keene and Benjamin Mascolo.

After 5 marks the end of the iconic Prime Video saga

In August of last year, it was confirmed that the fifth and final installment of the saga was filmed simultaneously with After Ever Happy. This is the only movie that was developed as an original story by Castille Landon.

This means that it’s the first one not based on any of the main novels written by the author from 2013 to 2015. There were assurances that a prequel and a sequel, focusing on the children of the main characters, were in pre-production.

However, it didn’t materialize and its distributor, Voltage Pictures, announced this year that it wouldn’t be happening. After Everything reportedly grossed $7.2 million at the box office, according to various informs.

Adventure, drama and romance are three of the elements that this movie, starring Kit Harrington and Emily Browning, didn’t lack. It’s not only a trending title but also one of the most-watched on Netflix at the moment.

The star of Game of Thrones teamed up with the lead actress of Sucker Punch to create a highly acclaimed historical thriller that hit the big screen in 2014, with a runtime of nearly two hours.

Paul W.S. Anderson directed the project, based on a screenplay developed by Janet Scott Batchler, Lee Batchler and Michael Robert Johnson. Here, check out the film that you should add to your watchlist…

Pompeii, the classic love story on Netflix

Pompeii not only became a hit in 2014 but also ended up being one of the top-grossing releases, earning a million in its first weekend and finishing in third place. Currently, it is the tenth most-watched title on Netflix in the US.

Despite the positive reviews and audience acceptance, the movie had some historical inaccuracies, such as the fact that gladiators trained in schools and not in the same amphitheater.

The story follows Milo, a gladiator turned slave who finds himself in a race against time to save his true love, Cassia, who has been promised to a corrupt Roman senator. As Mount Vesuvius erupts, he must fight to rescue his beloved.

Kit Harington, Carrie-Anne Moss, Emily Browning, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jessica Lucas, Jared Harris, Joe Pingue and many other actors have played a role in the epic love story set in the time of the Roman Empire.

The actor who portrays Milo confessed that he underwent an intense training regimen to achieve the right physique for the role. However, his obsession became so intense that his personal trainer had to intervene.
