Fitzpatrick’s comments emerged after a follower asked how the Dolphins could overcome their “demons.” He responded, “I get the narrative about the cold weather with the Dolphins, and unfortunately, that won’t get any quieter after their loss to the Packers.”

But Fitzpatrick didn’t stop there. He also highlighted a troubling statistic about head coach Mike McDaniel’s struggles against winning teams. “A worse stat to me is McDaniel is 1-14 against teams with a winning record in his three seasons,” Fitzpatrick noted. While he cited a 1-14 record, the actual figure is closer to 1-10.

According to Fitzpatrick, the Dolphins’ issues are mental, particularly in how they approach games like the one against Packers. “This tells me they have a bit of a front-runner mentality. When things get tough, they don’t have it in their DNA to handle adversity as well as the top-tier teams,” he explained.

“The problem is,sometimes you have to create … and he’s not gonna be able to scramble around, escape the pocket and make the big plays down the field. So he has to take what he has that’s elite — his accuracy — and hopefully, as he gets better, his decision-making, and he has to be the best in the NFL at it, because he’s limited in some of those other ways.”

Fans, analysts, and even former teammates seem to have doubts about Tua. Fitzpatrick said Tagovailoa could be great at two things, but suggested that he’s average in every other aspect.

3. Cam Newton

Cam Newton didn’t look that good since his infamous ‘I’m Back’ yell, and he’s far from the MVP he used to be. However, he’s still a mobile, proven veteran who could lead them to at least a couple of wins.

Also, to be fair, Newton hasn’t had a set of weapons like the Cowboys have since being cut by the Carolina Panthers. They could still go run-heavy with Ezekiel Elliott, Tony Pollard, and even Cam.

2. Ryan Fitzpatrick

Ryan Fitzpatrick just announced his retirement, but he’d sure love to have the chance to add to his NFL record. He’s already started for nine teams and was actually playing quite well before being benched in Miami and then getting hurt in Washington.

Of course, we already know that Fitzmagic can only last so long, so you never know what version of him you’ll get. But he’s got a great arm, and it’s not like the Cowboys can afford to be picky right now.

1. Jimmy Garoppolo

And, of course, there’s the obvious choice in Jimmy Garoppolo. Garoppolo isn’t good enough to be a starter anymore, but he’s quite close. He’s back to full strength and has proven that he can do just enough to help a team win.

The Cowboys could have a strong running attack just like the San Francisco 49ers, but the Offensive Line needs to be more disciplined. If so, then even Jimmy G could at least help them be around .500 by the time Prescott is back.

His career was not the best, after 17 seasons Fitzpatrick barely had a winning season in 2015 with the New York Jets (10-6), also that was his season with a pair of personal records with 3,905 passing yards and 31 touchdowns.

The Rams were the first destination for Fitzpatrick in what turned out to be an incredibly long journey. He was a seventh round pick, being the last quarterback selected from that draft. He led the Rams to a comeback win that day as he threw more than 300 yards and three touchdown passes. However, his performances declined thereafter, and in 2006he only played on the final game of the season.

On 2007, Fitz was traded to the Bengals, but he barely saw the field that year. The next season, he signed another deal with Cincinnati and had more playing time due to Carson Palmer’s injuries.
