“For me, being that valuable target, always being able to be open for a guy. They told me that they needed somebody like that. So that was really what got me, and just being able to grow with a young quarterback to see where he can get to,” he said via ESPN.

The wide receiver also added: “My job is to get open. Just go out there and get open for Cam, and the targets will come.”

However, if Robinson is the answer to take the team to a whole new level, then it’s not a team that poses as dangerous to the rest of the NFL. Robinson is talented, but he is nowhere near the elite. Ridley had the argument to be there, but that was three years ago.

Second-year wideouts Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike will have to step up. None of them actually lit the NFL on fire during their rookie years, but both showed huge flashes of talent. Ayomanor had 515 yards and four touchdowns in 41 receptions. Dike had 48 catches for 423 yards and four touchdowns. However, Dike also had an NFL-leading two punt-return touchdowns.

Cam Ward needs to step up

Just as the rookie wideouts, rookie quarterback Cam Ward, showed glimpses of talent worthy of a first overall pick. However, it was also clear he needs help. Ridley has to be that help, he is the veteran.

Still, Ward has to improve on one singular aspect: ball security. Ward had seven interceptions and a league-worst 11 fumbles last year. He needs to protect and deliver the ball. Also, that will help with him improving his 59.8% completion. Tennessee has talent, but also ways to go before it is a playoff contender.

According to Schefter, this move was made so the Titans can save $11.4 million against the cap space. Sneed was on the Titans roster since 2024, however, he’s been hampered by injuries ever since.

During his first year on the Titans, Sneed only played five games, and in 2025, he played just seven. On the Titans, he allowed just 58.2% of passes going his way to be completed. Having said that, quarterbacks throwing his way during both seasons had a 107.7 passer rating.

Sneed was a key component on the Chiefs

When the Chiefs went back to back, all the spotlight went to Patrick Mahomes. However, Sneed was an absolute star on the Chiefs back in the day. He even had clutch moments during the playoffs, like a forced fumble on the 1-yard line against the Ravens that pretty much gave the Chiefs the win.

In fact, Sneed had 10 interceptions with the Chiefs during his four years with the team. He hasn’t had an interception ever since. Now, at 29 years old and with quite the injury history, it remains to be seen how many teams will inquire to get him.

The Titans will have a solid defense next year

The Titans don’t have many fans running to put them high next season. However, their new head coach, Robert Saleh, is a defensive mastermind. Saleh has a great scheme and a massive brain to not only galvanize the troops, but make them overcome obstacles.

The team will also have names like Jermain Johnson, John Franklin-Myers, Solomon Thomas, and Jeffery Simmons. Hence, the front seven will create massive problems to opposing teams.

The Giants WR depth chart starts with returning standout Malik Nabers. Darius Slayton is also under contract with the team. Beaux Collins, Gunner Olszewski, Dalen Cambre, Jalin Hyatt, Da’Quan Felton join the party too. Bryce Ford-Wheaton is a Restricted Free Agent, and Ryan Miller is an Exclusive Rights Free Agent.

As for the Titans wideout depth chart, they have two second-year WRs in Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike welcoming Wan’Dale Robinson. Calvin Ridley is under contract through the 2027 season, however, he is a trade candidate. Chig Okonkwo is the starting tight end of the team. Bellinger will enter as the second tight end in the pecking order, and Gunnar Helm will be the third man up. Next, David Martin-Robinson is also under contract.

Overall, Bellinger has a chance to shine greatly. Bellinger had only 19 catches for a career-high 286 yards and two touchdowns last year. Okonkwo had 560, but Bellinger is arguably a better blocker too. Hence, he could earn way more snaps on the Titans roster.

The offensive outlook for the Giants

If the Giants fail to re-sign Wan’Dale Robinson this offseason, their wide receiver corps faces a period of significant transition under John Harbaugh. Right now, the Titans have Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears under contract, which would mean someone has to leave if they draft Love, because that’s too much talent at a price not necessary for the RB position.

The Chiefs do need a star RB

While the Titans have Pollard and Spears, Love is better, but it’s not like they need him. Although the new coaching regime might change some things, it’s not the end of the world if they go on another direction. However, that’s not the case for the Chiefs.

Isiah Pacheco is pretty much gone from the Chiefs. Kareem Hunt is headed to free agency. This leaves Kansas City with Brashard Smith. The need for a star running back is big for the Chiefs. If there is a team that could panic, it’s them.

The Giants should stay put

The Giants on the other side, shouldn’t do a thing to pursue Love. If he lands to them, fair enough. If not, no problem. Cam Skattebo will be back and he was a force to be reckoned with. Yes, his injury might concern the Giants, but if Skattebo doesn’t come back to full force at first, they still have reliable Tyrone Tracy and they could establish a committee.

NY Jets former head coach seeks redemption in 2026

Robert Saleh received the biggest opportunity of his career in 2021 as head coach of the New York Jets, but he was never able to turn them into Super Bowl contenders. Several factors played a role. For example, Aaron Rodgers’ Achilles injury in 2023. From that moment on, everything collapsed.

During an interview with Judy Battista, Saleh admitted that he learned a lot from his time with the Jets. “There’s no handbook for first time in any profession. There’s a lot of things that I learned. I’m more prepared now than I ever was. There are many things from my Jets’ tenure that I’m so appreciative of. There are some things that I’m going to leave behind. Obviously, there are things to continue to grow. I can assure that just going through that experience, a lot of things were learned.”

Johnson will reunite with coach Saleh

Saleh was the one who drafted Johnson in 2022. He played for Saleh during his first two-and-a-half years of his career. He even earned Pro Bowl honors in 2023, where Johnson racked up 7.5 sacks, 55 combined tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and 16 QB hits. Johnson was an absolute menace coming from the edge of the line of scrimmage.

Saleh is now the Titans head coach, so Johnson must be thrilled to go back to the coach that developed him into a menacing defensive force in the NFL. All of a sudden, it’s now the Titans the ones that are looking like a surging defense, while the Jets look completely dismantled.

The Titans defensive line has some playmakers

Johnson will fit to a tee on Saleh’s scheme. Still, the Titans have talented names on the roster. Jeffery Simmons is a top-tier defensive tackle in the NFL, as well as Sebastian Joseph-Day, a veteran presence.

With Saleh using a 3-4 defensive base, we could see Johnson go line up on both sides. Saleh will maximize the potential of these players, and the Titans might shock a few people with their defensive level.
