During his 14-year career, Moss amassed many records, such as being the player with the most receiving touchdowns in a season (23, in 2007) and the most receiving touchdowns in a rookie season (17, in 1998).

Moss was also a six-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro selection.
This week there were rumors about a potential return of Terrell Owens to the NFL, but his move to the Dallas Cowboys didn’t go through. Jerry Jones spoke about Owens in his routinary radio appearance. Find out what he said.
There were some teams ready to go for a free agent wide receiver in the last couple of weeks before the playoffs. The Dallas Cowboys were one of them, although the report that took everybody by surprise was a potential reunion with Terrell Owens. Now it was the time for franchise owner Jerry Jones to talk said about that situation.

Their interest in WR Odell Beckham Jr was a topic of discussions for over a month. The former New York Giants player was the main target for other teams too, but his recovery from a torn ACL in the Super Bowl made the timeline for his return questionable. In the end, the staff and the front office wasn’t sure about his status.

They ended up signing former Colts T.Y. Hilton to add experience in that position. That is part of why it was a bit shocking when Owens’ name was brought up given the move made for Hilton recently. Jones spoke about the 49-year-old Hall of Famer.

What did Cowboys owner Jerry Jones say about Owens?

Dallas was scheduled to play vs the Titans in Tennessee on Thursday Night Football, although the news of the week was the potential return of a former player. It was Owens’ agent Gregory Daniel who said he had been in communications with the team about signing the Hall of Famer, according to Aaron Wilson.

If those happened, they didn’t materialize into an offer for the wide receiver to come back to the league after retiring in 2010. The signing of a big name is not something the Cowboys wouldn’t do, though in this situation they may have not even considered him to be in the NFL at this point.

Jones told his side of the story with Owens on 105.3 The Fan this Friday. “I’ve never talked to him or his agent and will not seriously consider it. But I’ve never talked to him”, he said. They have to move on from this to stay on course for the best part of the season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers may not suffer too much to substitute his recently separated wide receiver Antonio Brown. If active players do not fulfill Bruce Ariansexpectations, there is a former NFL star that is ready to jump into the yard again.
Antonio Brown stole the show of the last Tampa Bay game in the Week 17 of the NFL 2021 season. His attitude forced his team to take the decision of, meanwhile, putting him on the injury list, before releasing him definitely. The new task for the Buccaneers is to find a new wide receiver. However, a former star and NFL Hall of Famer has raised his hand to take Brown’s place in the roster.

Buccaneers knew that signing Brown in October 2020 could be a risky move. The one-time Super Bowl winner collected a series of legal and sports troubles during his career, so, it was just a matter of time before Antonio’s bomb to explode.

All of a sudden the former Pittsburg wide receiver decided to quit Tampa Bay’s match against New York Jets. The logical reaction was for him to be sent off the team. With the Playoffs around the corner, the Buccaneers need to be focused on just two things: find a quality replacement for Antonio Brown and build the road to take Tom Brady to his eighth Super Bowl conquer.

The NFL Hall of Famer that wants to replace Antonio Brown

The brand new Buccaneers option to take Brown’s place in their roster has played as a wide receiver for 16 NFL seasons. He defended the colors of San Francisco,Philadelphia,Dallas,Buffalo,Cincinnati, and Seattle before his retirement in 2012. Yes:Terrell Owens.

The 48 years oldT.O.wants a chance to come back to the yard to try to win the Vince Lombardi trophy, and honor he could never achieve: “I know I can do it… Let me go out there and show you. If you think about where they are in the season, they don’t need me for a 16-game season. Three to four games at the max. So, yes, I feel like I can go in, I can contribute at a high level and can be productive” stated Owens on his own podcastGetcha Popcorn Ready with T.O. and Hatch.

To make things clear, and avoid his statement being taken as a joke, the NFL receiver touchdowns leader in 2001, 2002, and 2006 confirmed he is just in the right shape to return to the field:”I’ve been working out the course of this entire season. There was an owner that reached out to me at the beginning of the season and told me to keep myself in shape just in case anything happens, and I have done that”.

Legendary wideout Randy Moss took his time to share his all-time wide receiver ranking and it raised a couple of controversies around the NFL.
If you were to ask any footballfan who the best wide receiver in NFL history is, you’d likely hear either one of these two names: Jerry Rice or Randy Moss, in no particular order. And, honestly, it would be hard to disagree.

However, most people tend to lean towards Rice because of all of the records and accolades he achieved throughout his impressive career. Then again, Randy Moss isn’t just like most people, as you may know by now.

That’s why the outspoken Hall of Famer took to Terrell Owens‘ podcast to discuss his very own ranking of the greatest wide receivers of all time. And while he didn’t make any shocking additions, the fact that he put Jerry Rice lower than expected was kind of a shock.

Randy Moss Ranks Jerry Rice “Third Or Fourth” All-Time

“I’ll put myself first, I’ll put T.O. (Terrell Owens)second,” Moss said. “I would put Jerry probably third or fourth. I’m talking about dominating the game and changing the game of football. I don’t live on statistics because if you live on statistics and live on championships that’s all political. You’ve seen guys released or cut from a team just by a couple words in the media. You’ve seen guys given contracts or you’ve seen guys not given contracts just because of the color of their skin. You’ve got to throw politics out of the game of football, and look at the impact of what each individual was able to make in the game of football,” Moss added.

The Minnesota Vikings legend added that he wasn’t trying to take a shot at Jerry Rice and explained that he puts it on that spot because he never had to play with a bad quarterback throughout his career:

“When you think about Jerry and the quarterbacks he played with, he never had a drop-off in quarterback. He went from one Hall of Fame quarterback to another. I don’t want the fans and the people watching your podcast to get it messed up that we dislike or discredit anything Jerry Rice was able to do or ever accomplish,” Moss said. “I don’t want people to think myself and T.O. is slandering or bashing anything Jerry did, because Jerry was at the top,” he concluded.

Well, yes, Jerry Rice had his fair share of great quarterbacks but that doesn’t mean that he didn’t do his part to turn the San Francisco 49ers into the most dominant dynasty in the league during his career.

At the end of the day, most rankings will always be subjective and there will never be a fully accurate way to discuss them. But if we know Jerry Rice like we think we do, we can definitely expect a response pretty soon.
