The Laver Cup 2021 is almost here. Team Europe and Team World will face each other for the fourth edition of this tennis tournament, that’s been dominated by the Europeans so far. However, this year, Team World is ready to take the trophy for the first time.
This year, the Laver Cup will be held at the TD Garden in Boston. There’s going to be three days of the most exciting and fun tennis from the best male players right now. However, everyone is going to miss Federer, Nadal and Djokovic, who are going to miss the tournament.
However, current US Open champion Daniil Medvedev is going to play for the first time, as well as Andrey Rublev, Matteo Berrettini and Casper Ruud. Laver Cup 2021: Dates and times
The Laver Cup 2021 will be played from Friday, September 24 to Sunday, September 26. The format consists of 12 matches, nine singles and three doubles, across three days. On the first day, each win adds one point; on day two, adds two points and on day three, each win adds three points.
The team who first earns 13 points is the winner of the tournament. Each player takes the court once or twice for singles, with at least four of the six taking part in doubles. All matches are played as best-of-three, with a 10-point tiebreaker if play goes to a third set. The lineup for each day is given the day before.
