El hecho se produjo anoche tras la finalización del partido entre su equipo y el WestHam United que terminó en empate a uno.

Vichaisolía retirarse del King Power Stadium con su helicóptero, que partía desde el centro del campo de juego. La cola del mismo falló y terminó estrellándose en un estacionamiento aledaño al estadio.

La policía de Leicester confirmó esta noche la identidad de los cinco fallecidos. Si bien se especulaba con que su hija había subido al helicóptero, el reporte indicó que los otros cuatro muertos eran miembros de su personal y el piloto.

El comunicado oficial del Leicesterdescribe a KhunVichai como “un hombre bondadoso, generoso y que dedicó su vida a su familia”. Además, pondrá a disposición un “libro de condolencias” y anunció que pospondrá el partido ante el Southamptonpor la Copa de la Liga.

Srivaddhanaprabha llegó desde Tailandia en 2010 cuando el club vagaba por la segunda división del fútbol inglés y no se detuvo hasta ganar la primera Premier League de la historia del Leicesteren la temporada 2015/2016.
