Aaron Judge has been a cornerstone for the New York Yankees this season. Despite experiencing a dip in his statistics over recent games, his stellar performance throughout the regular season underpins the belief that the Yankees could clinch the World Series. Yankees manager Aaron Boone alluded to a potential Hall of Famer as a key player in their quest for success.

Contrary to expectations, Boone did not focus on Judge’s recent performances, where he managed only one hit and one walk. Instead, he highlighted a teammate who has been playing exceptionally well and possesses the talent to become one of baseball’s greats.

In his remarks, Boone confidently identified Paul Goldschmidt as a potential future Hall of Famer. He praised Goldschmidt’s contributions and explained why he sees the first baseman as worthy of this prestigious honor.

ā€œThat’s a guy in his late 30s who is probably headed to the Hall of Fame and likely an All-Star again this year,ā€ Boone said, following the Yankeesā€˜ 4-2 victory over the Baltimore Orioles. ā€œHe’s not playing a second day in a row, but he’s ready to pinch-run when called upon.ā€

ā€œHis growth has been fantastic to witness. We were obviously very optimistic about him last year. He faced some challenges both in Triple-A and at the big league level, but he also showed flashes of brilliance. The positive aspect is that I think he’s continued to develop from there. He came back this summer in a better pitching position and has learned a lot from his previous mistakes and setbacks,ā€œ Boone remarked to reporters.
