Kevin Love opens up about possible NBA retirement as buyout rumors intensify

After an underwhelming stint with the Miami Heat, Kevin Love found himself traded to the Utah Jazz. “I think you start preparing for ‘Plan B,'(post-retirement plans) I mean, if you’re smart and if you have the presence of mind to do it early in your career… I mean that idea of athletic mortality at this stage of my career, where I’m certainly over the hill and looking at the twilight. There’s things that I’m having to consider,” Kevin Love said, via Hoda Kotb.

While Kevin did not specify a date for his professional retirement, he has clearly signaled that his career in the league is nearing its end. Not only is his age a factor but also his on-court performance also reflects this reality. Over the past three years, he has played in just 99 games and has steadily shifted into a more secondary role.
