Liverpool look quite unchanged from last season following a relatively quiet summer transfer window. The Reds haven't been very ambitious when it came to make new signings for this season as they only landed Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig.

Instead, the Premier League giants got rid of a few unused substitutes to raise funds while they lost Georginio Wijnaldum for nothing as the Dutch star joined PSG in a free transfer. Besides those moves, Liverpool stayed with a familiar squad for the 2021-22 campaign.

However, the Merseyside club would consider going back into the transfer market in January. According to reports, they'd be willing to match the €35 million price tag Brighton set for one of their best players.

Liverpool reportedly consider satisfying Brighton's demands for their star

Brighton and Hove Albion's Yves Bissouma is reportedly on the radar of various Premier League teams such as Manchester United, Arsenal, and Tottenham, but journalist Ekrem Konur reports that Liverpool would actually match the asking price for him.

Konur claimed nearly a month ago that the Seagulls would consider letting the 25-year-old midfielder leave as long as they receive an offer around €35 million ($40.5m). Recently, the journalist mentioned that the Mali international has been on Klopp's radar for a while and Liverpool will finally place a 'huge' bid in January.

Bissouma arrived in Brighton in the summer of 2018 from Ligue 1 side Lille for nearly €17 million and his contract runs until June 2023. Liverpool are well-stocked in the middle of the park but Bissouma would be an interesting alternative as Thiago failed to impress so far and James Milner is getting older.
