Premier League Aston Villa have signed Ross Barkley on a loan from Chelsea until the end of the season. Barkley arrived at Villa Park after the long and tense talks with Chelsea.

He passed the medical examinations at his new side on Wednesday morning, and then signed the contract until the end of the season. Aston Villa have the option to buy the English national team player from Chelsea next summer.

"Capturing a player of Ross's quality is a real coup for our club, and I am certain he will thrive here and improve our team," Aston Villa boss Dean Smith said at a press conference.

No space for Ross Barkley at Chelsea

Due to the great competition in the team in the position where the 26-year-old plays, the Blues manager Frank Lampard has reportedly told Barkley to find another club.

Barkley should be a big reinforcement for Aston Villa, even though he is only 26 years old, he has already played in the Premier League for eight seasons, for Everton and Chelsea. In his career, he has played 33 times for the English national team.

According to English reports, Barkley will not be the only Chelsea player to strengthen Villa. It's believed that Ruben Loftus-Chick is very close to being loaned out to Aston Villa as well.
