Carlos Alcaraz continues to build on his impressive run in 2025, defeating fellow Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut to advance to the final of the Queen’s Club Championships. With the straight-sets win, Alcaraz not only advanced to the tournament final but also reached a significant career milestone.
The World No. 2 took down Bautista Agut 6-4, 6-4, extending his winning streak to 17 matches—the longest of his professional career. The victory also marked Alcaraz’s 250th career match win on the ATP Tour.
The 22-year-old accomplished the feat in just 311 matches, becoming the third-fastest player in history to hit 250 wins. Only legends John McEnroe (307 matches) and Jimmy Connors (310) reached the milestone in fewer attempts, according to the ATP official website.
Now, the reigning Roland Garros champion will look to claim his second consecutive title at Queen’s Club when he faces Jiri Lehecka in Sunday’s final. Lehecka upset local favorite Jack Draper in the other semifinal. The head-to-head between Alcaraz and Lehecka is tied at 1-1, adding even more intrigue to the upcoming clash on June 22.

Speaking after the match, Alcaraz credited his level of play and growing confidence with each round. “I feel I am playing great tennis,” Alcaraz said during his on-court interview. “After every match I am feeling more comfortable. Making the final here is so special once again”.

The Spaniard also emphasized the joy he feels on court—and how that fuels his performance. “My family and I, we always do everything, we have great vibes and I love playing tennis, I love making the crowds enjoy watching tennis and my games,” he added. “Whenever I put a smile on my face I play my best tennis. I try to have fun and bring joy on the court. That is why I am making good results”.
