Aaron Boone was ejected by the home plate umpire during the New York Yankes vs Tampa Bay Rays game. The ejection stemmed from Boone’s vehement protest of a called strike against captain Aaron Judge. Replays suggested the pitch was borderline, potentially debatable as either a ball or a strike, but it resulted in a decisive strikeout for Judge, igniting a strong reaction and argument from the Yankees’ dugout.

Boone’s outburst, however, wasn’t solely triggered by the controversial strikeout. He was already incensed by an earlier play in the game vs Rays where a home run hit by Aaron Judge was called a foul ball. Live footage indicated the ball barely landed outside the foul line. Had the home run stood, the Yankees would have held a more significant lead.

Despite the managerial drama, the Yankees ultimately won the game, securing the hard-fought four-game series. While the first two games were relatively comfortable victories, the third contest presented more challenges due to issues on the pitching mound. Now, Boone will have the opportunity to build another winning streak.
