Nothing lasts forever, and for Kevin De Bruyne that could be the case as the 32-year-old attacking midfielder is once again injured and has only featured in 1 game this season in the Premier League.
De Bruyne has been out since the first game of the season with a muscle injury and now Four Four Two is reporting that Manchester City are starting to look elsewhere for someone to lead their midfield and are inclined to let Kevin De Bruyne’s contract end.
De Bruyne has two more seasons on his contract, this one and next season, his deal with City ends in June of 2025. The Belgian international has played nine seasons at Manchester City.

Four Four Two is reporting that the player’s current injury woes are the main reason talks of a contract extension have stopped as the team reevaluates. De Bruyne signed an extension in 2021 and is considered one of the greatest players to ever suit up for the club.

Kevin De Bruyne has played in 358 games for Manchester City, scoring 96 goals and adding 153 assists and winning 14 titles at the club. With De Bruyne’s injury other players have stepped up and City are second in the Premier League this season.
