<p><strong>Fabián Coito</strong>’s time as coach of the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/honduras-t16709" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Honduran national team</strong></a> is all but over La Prensa has reported, he will have 90 minutes against <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/jamaica-t180938" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jamaica</a> in <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/soccer/concacaf-world-cup-qualifying-2022-october-schedule-20211006-0010.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Concacaf</a> World Cup qualifying to have a memorable send off. Coito’s fate was decided after a disastrous second half against the USMNT which saw him<a href="https://bolavip.com/en/soccer/usmnt-5-takeaways-from-the-come-from-behind-win-against-honduras--20210909-0005.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> blow a 1-0 lead following making three unnecessary half-time substitutions against a US team</a> that played one of their worst 45 minutes of soccer in qualification.</p>
<p><strong>During his near three-year reign as coach of Honduras, Coito won 8 games, tied 10, and lost 10. </strong>Despite playing some tight games against the United States in the Nations League, his Gold Cup run was disappointing and during <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/betting/concacaf-world-cup-qualifying-matchday-6-usmnt-canada-honduras-mexico-favorites--20211011-0017.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Concacaf World Cup qualifying</a> Honduras has not won a single game drawing 3 and losing 2.</p>
<p>On Tuesday at the Ramón Villeda Morales airport fans and passengers yelled at Coito requesting his resignation and according to various reports, many in the federation were not happy with the Uruguayan coach. <strong>Now once he departs after the Jamaica game, no matter the result, Honduras is rumored to have four candidates in mind to replace Fabián Coito.</strong></p>

<p>Argentine <strong>Pedro Troglio</strong>, who has been working with Olimpia since 2019 is the strongest candidate to take over the national team. Winner of three titles with one of the biggest clubs in the country, Troglio has experience coaching in Argentina and Paraguay.</p>

<p>Fellow Argentine <strong>Diego Vásquez</strong>, the long-standing coach of Motagua, since 2013 and winner of 6 titles with the club, his only coaching experience. Vásquez is not the media darling that Troglio is but has experience as both a player and coach in Honduras.</p>
<h2>Second tier candidates</h2>
<p><strong>Ramón Maradiaga</strong> who has not coached since 2018 and coached the national team back in 1998-2002. Maradiaga coached Guatemala and El Salvador on various occasions as well. <strong>Hector Vargas</strong> current coach of Marathón could step in, as he has won numerous titles having coached his current club and Olimpia until 2017.</p>
