Colby Covington beat Tyron Woodley by technical knock out on UFC’s main fight last Saturday. Then, somehow, the very first thing he did after getting the win was taking a shot at <a href="https://us.bolavip.com/los-angeles-lakers-t101482" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Los Angeles Lakers’</a> superstar <a href="https://us.bolavip.com/lebron-james-t92259" target="_blank" rel="noopener">LeBron James.</a>
It’s pretty obvious that LeBron – like most of the <a href="https://us.bolavip.com/nba-t19117" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NBA</a> community – has a clear political stance. He’s taken countless shots at President Donald Trump, and even supported the Milwaukee Bucks’ decision not to play a couple of weeks ago.
That’s why Covington – who’s a diehard GOP supporter – went on to call him a ‘spineless coward’, claiming that he was sick of the ‘woke athletes’ and that Trump is going to easily beat Joe Biden in the election:

“Ladies and gentlemen, the silent majority is ready to make some noise. If you thought that was a beating, wait till November 3 when Donald Trump gets his hands on sleepy Joe. That’s gonna be a landslide,” Covington started. “I want to dedicate this fight to all the first responders, all the military out there. This world would not be safe without you guys, you keep us safe, and not these woke athletes. I’m sick of these spineless cowards like LeBron James,” he said.

Obviously, countless people – and even NBA players – took it to social media to blast Covington for his comments about LeBron. That’s why he doubled-down on his insult on Twitter and even brought up Delonte West in the conversation:

For those who lack context, Delonte West allegedly had an affair with LeBron James’ mother when <a href="https://us.bolavip.com/nba/Ranking-the-top-40-of-LeBron-James-teammates-from-worst-to-best-NBA-20200527-0001.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">they were teammates</a> in Cleveland. West’s career took a major downfall after being traded and he’s now struggling with substance abuse and bipolar disorder.

It’s pretty clear that Covington isn’t going to let this go any time soon. To say those kinds of things about a guy who’s suffering from mental health shows that he has no standards whatsoever, so we’re definitely going to hear a lot more about this beef.
