Dak Prescott has a new teammate in George Pickens, and that could lead the Dallas Cowboys to dream of being championship contenders. In his first message with the team, the wide receiver admitted he was excited to play alongside the veteran quarterback.

“One of the first guys I was definitely in contact with was Dak. Just watching his game over the years, he’s a very prolific quarterback. Smart QB at that. I’m just glad to be working with him.”

Additionally, Pickens stated that in the pursuit of winning the Super Bowl, a key factor will be his chemistry with CeeDee Lamb as an explosive WR duo. A huge warning for all NFL teams. “I just feel like schematically, you won’t be able to double everybody, so that will be a great thing for me and him.”

What did the Cowboys trade for George Pickens?

The Cowboys gave up a third-round pick in 2026 and a fifth-round pick in 2027 for George Pickens. The star wide receiver admitted that Pittsburgh is in the past and he wants to keep building the winning culture in Dallas.

“I feel great. I like the mojo here. I like the swag. I feel like they have a great thing going for sure. I’m grateful to be here. I’m grateful to play with Dak. A lot of new players I’ve been meeting, I feel like they’ve got a great thing going.”

Will George Pickens get a contract extension with Cowboys?

George Pickens said he’s not concerned about receiving an extension before the final year of his rookie contract. The Steelers traded him because they didn’t want to pay him, and now the Cowboys might wait until 2026 to decide whether to keep him or not with a multi-year deal.

“I’m kinda where my feet are right now, to be honest. I’m not really thinking about contract talks. I’m just glad to be with the Cowboys right now, trying to build a winning culture. I can’t really change anyone’s opinion of me personally. I just continue to grow. I feel like everybody in the world has to grow. I’m trying to build a winning culture, which they already have with the Cowboys. Just glad to be joining it.”
