Andy Reid is aware of what everyone is noticing around the NFL. Patrick Mahomes has looked sensational in the preseason, in what seems to be the first sign of the long-awaited revenge tour with the Kansas City Chiefs.
After losing the last Super Bowl to the Eagles, Mahomes is in excellent physical shape, and his numbers have been outstanding. For example, in the final preseason game against the Bears, he went 8 of 13 for 143 yards and a touchdown.
For this reason, Reid acknowledged that this is great news ahead of the opener against the Chargers in Brazil. “Pat looks smooth. Confident. Trusts in that group. I thought it was pretty smooth operation for tonight. I mean, it’s preseason, but, smooth operation, and we needed to get some reps there. I thought the starters on both sides did well.”
Are the Kansas City Chiefs playing in Brazil?
Yes. The Kansas City Chiefs will play in Brazil to kick off their 2025 regular season. The game will be against the Los Angeles Chargers on September 5 in Sao Paulo.
Reid noted that, ahead of that long trip, he will manage the workload over the next two weeks. “13 days from now, we’re going to Sao Paulo. So, that was important. We got the ones a few reps. We’ll smooth some things out throughout the next couple of weeks here to get ourselves ready to play a good Chargers team.”
