<h2>A look at the Chiefs with Bieniemy as OC</h2>



Bieniemy was hired as offensive coordinator by Kansas City ahead of the 2018 <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl">NFL</a> season. He stayed in that position until the 2022 campaign. Following the Chiefs’ crowning in Super Bowl LVII, Bieniemy left to become an assistant head coach and offensive coordinator for the Washington Commanders.

In his first year as the Chiefs’ offensive coordinator, Bieniemy’s unit finished first in the league in both points and yards. 



Throughout his time with the team, Kansas City never ranked outside the top six in offensive scoring or yardage. As the Chiefs come off a disastrous campaign in which they ranked 21st in points and 20th in yardage, it’s easy to see why Reid and company may look to return to what worked not so long ago.



<h2>Is Bieniemy interested in returning to the Chiefs?</h2>



That seems to be the million-dollar question right now in Missouri. Bieniemy has put the league on notice and he may be looking for his first head coaching stint in the NFL. The Bears’ rushing game has been one of the best in the league this year, and credit must be given to Bieniemy for that.

Whether that is something that can be negotiated—or if it ultimately determines whether Bieniemy returns to help Mahomes and company—remains to be seen. Either way, Kansas City has several issues to attend.

One noticeable change in 2025 was that Kansas City relied less heavily on Kareem Hunt than it did in 2024, when he led the team with 728 rushing yards and played a key role in Reid’s offensive approach. Last season, Hunt finished with 611 rushing yards, while Isiah Pacheco improved his output to 462 rushing yards, up from 310 the previous year.
