Gonzalo Higuaín will become Inter Miami‘s stellar reinforcement as the Juventus’ striker has reached an agreement with David Beckham’s side to play in the MLS until 2022. According to TyC Sports, the Argentineonly has to rescind his contract with the Italian team before joining the Major League Soccer club.

Higuaín has been in Inter Miami’s radar for quite some time and after learning of Juventus new manager Andrea Pirlo’s decision to sideline the striker, Beckham wasted no time in calling the former Real Madrid and Napoli player.

Apparently, the 32-year-old striker had offers from England and Italy, but he decided to move to the MLS. It’s believed that Beckham, one of Inter Miami’s owners and the club’s president, played a vital part in this negotiation between the club and the player.

According to TyC Sports journalist César Luis Merlo, Higuaín reached a full agreement with Inter Miami after the MLS club offered him a millionaire offer until 2022. Although the Argentine has to define his departure from Juventus, there would be no problem as manager Pirlo told him that he was not part of his plans.

This way, Higuaín would join his former Juventus teammate Blaise Matuidi in Inter Miami. The French midfielder joined Beckham’s MLS side after terminating his contract with the Italian team last month.
