The NCAAB has a new champion, and it’s the UConn Huskies, who showed no mercy against Dawn Staley‘s team, the South Carolina Gamecocks. Led by Geno Auriemma, they were too much for their rivals, dominating from start to finish in March Madness.
With an impressive performance from Sarah Strong and the ever-present Paige Bueckers, the Huskies crushed the Gamecocks, thus crowning themselves as the new champions in women’s College Basketball.
For their part, the team coached by Staley could do little and was always playing catch-up throughout the game, unable to find a solution. Unfortunately for South Carolina, their hopes of winning the title were dashed in the decisive game and of course, social media went wild, with users sharing hilarious memes.
