The situation between Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers becomes more uncertain with each passing week. In April or May, multiple insiders seemed convinced that a deal between both parties was imminent. Now, everything has changed.
For the first time in a long while, there are now rumors suggesting that Rodgers might be backing out on the Steelers, despite having dropped hints at public events that he could sign with Pittsburgh. A large part of the offseason, the 2025 Draft, and OTAs have already passed without any response from the quarterback.
This means that if Mike Tomlin believes Rodgers is the key man to win the Super Bowl, the head coach will have to accept the implications of waiting for him. Looking ahead at the schedule, there are now only two windows left for the veteranâs arrival. Mandatory minicamp and training camp. No more.
Did Steelers sign Aaron Rodgers?
No. The Steelers have not signed Aaron Rodgers. According to a report from Ian Rapoport, the upcoming week is key to watch, as the team has its mandatory minicamp.
âHeâs dealing with his personal stuff and them giving him his time. Theyâre hoping and believing heâs going to join them and be their quarterback. This time next week when the Steelers are in mandatory minicamp, maybe it changes. That might be interesting. That would be a time when it would make sense for him to go in. That makes the most sense, but, itâs Aaron Rodgers so I would literally rule nothing out.â

What are the odds of Steelers winning the Super Bowl in 2025?
The Steelers have +4000 odds in most markets, placing Pittsburgh between 15th and 17th in the overall NFL rankings. However, Rapoport believes they are making every possible move to contend this year, not in 2026.
âThe feel I get from the Steelers is like kind of loading up. Like doing all the resources, all the spots, everything you can. Obviously, there could be a quarterback there at some point. Hopefully soon. Maybe before the end of the summer. But thatâs what it feels like. Kind of loading up to make one more run at it.â
