Inter Miami have enjoyed an incredible start to 2025, remaining undefeated so far this year. Javier Mascherano has built a united and resilient squad, capable of overcoming challenges. They have even shown they can win games while playing with one less player. Additionally, Mascherano is already shaping the club’s future by continuing to recruit young talent. A promising young Argentine has officially joined Lionel Messi at Inter Miami.

Javier Mascherano has added another young Argentine talent to his squad. Baltasar Rodriguez, a 21-year-old midfielder, joins Inter Miami from Argentine side Racing Club. Despite his youth, Baltasar has already made 68 appearances for Racing, scoring 7 goals and providing 4 assists. He also featured in five Copa Libertadores matches with the club.

Baltasar Rodriguez previously played under Javier Mascherano in Argentina’s U-23 National Team. He featured in the Pre-Olympic Championship, where he delivered an impressive performance, scoring a goal in the tournament.

With his arrival at Inter Miami, Baltasar Rodriguez is expected to become Lionel Messi’s apprentice, as they share a similar playing role. With Messi’s reduced minutes, Baltasar could have the perfect opportunity to fit into Mascherano’s system, one he is already familiar with. This familiarity should ease his adaptation to the squad.
