The Galaxy will be looking for their second straight derby victory after beating LAFC 2-0 in Week 6. The match against Seattle Sounders of last Wednesday for Week 7 of the Major League Soccer tournament was postponed. The players decided to boycott the game to protests against the shooting of Jacob Blake, as the Milwaukee Bucks had done in their NBA playoffs game against the Orlando Magic a few hours before.

The Earthquakes, on the other hand, will play their first game after the MLS is Back Tournament. They were going to restart their regular season campaign on Wednesday againstthe Portland Timbers, but the game was postponed too.
