Lio Messi pens heartfelt post to Diego Maradona

Argentina and Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi voiced his support for his former coach Diego Maradona, who recently underwent brain surgery.

A couple of days ago, the soccer world was shaken as Argentine superstar Diego Maradona had to be rushed to the hospital. Apparently, he had some blood clots in the brain and had to undergo surgery right away.

Needless to say, people from all over the world took to social media to voice their support for the 1986 FIFA World Cup hero, from celebrities to current and former legends of the game. Moreover, hundreds of fans gathered outside the hospital to shower him with chants, compliments, and support.

However, the world was surprised by the fact that Argentina and Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi hadn’t posted anything on social media, considering he’s the one who carried the torch as the best player to ever be born in that country.

Lionel Messi Posts Heartfelt Message For Diego Maradona: ā€œAll The Strength In The Worldā€

That’s why countless soccer fans all over the world were pleased when the six-time Ballon d’Or winner finally took to social media to share his thoughts on Diego’s situation and send his best wishes:

ā€œDiego, all the strength in the world. My family and I want to see you well as soon as possible. A hug from the heart!ā€œ The Barcelona superstar wrote on an Instagram post with a picture of them training together.

Maradona’s Surgery Was A Success, Says Doctor

ā€œThis chronic subdural hematoma was successfully evacuated. Diego tolerated the surgery very well. He is awake. Everything is fine,ā€ said doctor Leopoldo Luque in a statement late on Tuesday.

The shocking news of Maradona’s emergency surgery came just a couple of days after current and former legends sent him greetings for his 60th birthday. Now, the Hashtag #FuerzaDiego has gone viral as millions of fans want to show their love for ā€˜El Pelusa’. Hopefully, he’ll be just fine and back to full strength pretty soon.
